United Carpet One is a third generation, family-owned business which began serving the Central Valley in 1955 with a humble staff of two, Kirk Kerkochian and his father (Sahrad). They spent three days per week selling carpeting and three to four days installing it. It was their reputation for superior quality products and service that helped them maintain steady growth to where they now also carry laminate, vinyl, luxury vinyl plank, hardwood, tile and area rugs. Julie Kerkochian started working at United Carpet when she was a little girl, joining her father at work on weekends. When she joined him to a customer's house to assist with a measurement, her payment was a toy at Arthurs Toy Store. After her first measurement job, she was hooked! In high school and throughout college, Julie was sent out in the field and worked on job sites with installers helping to install carpet, VCT and tile. After receiving her Business Finance Degree at Fresno State, she started selling carpet in the showroom while working on her Master's in Business Administration (also at Fresno State). Julie now runs the company and works with builders, designers and customers whose grandparents were once her dad's customers. Our location on Shaw Avenue (near West), has a 5,500 square showroom and our Clovis Avenue location (near Clinton) has a 5,000 square foot showroom with a 20,000 square foot warehouse that displays all of our in-stock inventory. We have over $500,000 of product in-stock (including vinyl, hardwood, laminate, tile, remnants and area rugs). We guarantee installation within three days of anything we have in-stock.
