Worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. The contractor did not show up many days. He did not put the correct tile in either bathrooms and did not install the toilets correctly. Due to his errors, we had to have him replace tile twice and we now have a leak that has gone down to the bathroom. I reached out to Eric to explain and he someone out to inspect and then went silent. I have reached out to him several times to fix the issue or pay our plumber to fix and no response. I am now having to take them to small claims court. Throughout the process, Eric has deflected his obligations to all the errors and sent me to his contractor. Eric owns the company, but he avoids responsibility.

Unbelievable. They posted pictures of my master bathroom remodel... WHICH REMAINS UNFINISHED. 5280 Labor's contractor has been the worst experience of my life. He was hours late everyday except two days. When I fronted him money for work, he disappeared the following day, unreachable. When he did show up hours late, he would stay working in my home until 8-9 pm, which isn't great because we have a two year old and listening to the remodel after a long day at work was crazy frustrating. He "called in sick" one day, by which I mean he texted me at 3 pm saying he wasn't coming when he was supposed to be here at 9 am. Another day he asked for a "personal day" ... what do you say to that? The glass company he said was coming on day two of the remodel still hasn't shown. I can go on and on, but you get the idea. When I explained my frustration, he basically told me this is how it always goes. He offered to negotiate down the price, but i said i wanted to see what the end cost was going to be because he was already $1700 over budget... That night he packed up everything, which i thought was odd because he usually left tools behind (which is 100% reasonable). It made sense the next day though when he no-showed again, but stopped responding to my calls and texts. He ghosted us. He also left the old tub on the side of my house, which i got a letter about from my HOA. He started March 23rd and said he'd be done in a week. Yes, today is April 24th and I still can't use my bathroom. I've called Eric 4 times and he said he's not responsible. I'm out $6,700. BEWARE. Don't let it happen to you.

Eric was so great to work with! He replaced mine and my parent’s countertops and we were both really happy with the results. He was competitively priced and extremely communicative. I highly recommend 5280 Labor!
