Excellence By Nature Granite

We hired EBN several years ago to install granite countertops in our kitchen. I had saved my inheritance money to get them. They sent some young guy to do our expensive granite countertops. We didn't even get the part of the slab we asked for. He made a large ugly seam right in the middle of our countertop. The granite didn't even flow or match up on each side of the seam. It didn't need to be seamed where he seamed it either. It wasn't too heavy where it would've broke. Then he made two more very stand out seams. He chipped the edge of the counter twice while installing it and glued the pieces back on, only for them to fall off later. He also set a bucket on top of the counter which left a big ring on our counter top. When we called and complained the owner refused to even come out and look at it. She sent him back out. He had an attitude. He attempted to make the seams look better, but only made them worse. I got so upset every time I walked in my kitchen. I had spent a lot of money on the counter tops. Finally months later, I couldn't take it anymore. I was so angry over this botched job that I called the owner back again. She said she couldn't do anything. She sent the same guy again and charged me, and he did nothing but screw up the seam again and have a major attitude. She told me that this guy was now the main guy over others and was her best guy. Oh boy!!! Now I have finally saved money to redo these terrible looking counter tops. I went back to the granite place in Ohio where we went the first time to pick out our slab. We told them everything that had happened to us. They advised us that this place that had installed our granite had probably given us remnants and saved the pretty part to sell to someone else. It had a beautiful part running through it that we wanted. It was plenty long enough for that part to be on our main countertop. Fast forward...this time we have gone with a very reputable place. We get to go mark and pick out what parts of the slab we want for each area in our kitchen. We also marked our slab so we get the one we looked at. They will make a template and we will go there and mark each part of the slab we want for each area in our kitchen. They won't be putting a seam in the center and main part of our countertop. Our first seam will be hidden by the edge of our sink, and none of them will be noticed by anyone. The seams won't be 1/8 inch thick either and will blend in with the correct coloring. This has been a real nightmare and an expensive one. They didn't even care that they sent some person that didn't know what he was doing to do this very expensive work. The owner wouldn't even come out to our house to see it. Terrible customer service and work at our expense. If you pick out a slab, mark it, to make sure it's the same one later, and MAKE THEM let you be there and use a template to mark each part of it for each area in your kitchen. After all YOU PAID FOR IT!!
