Stone Design by Santos

We had a countertop installed in November 2022. In February 2023 it developed a crack. We are certain it was a crack - it ran across the veins, you could feel break in surface with your finger, and it went not only on the top but also on the side of a countertop (see picture). We contacted the Stone Design about it. It took over two weeks to send a technician to look at it. He told us that it was not a crack, sealed it, and mentioned that seal would eventually wear off and would have to be redone every six months. Obviously, we looked at this solution as a temporary one. So, on March 16 we sent an email to the store owner - Mr. Farley Santos. We indicated that we would like him or someone in the management to see the problem firsthand and to discuss with us possible solutions. Mr. Santos has never got back to us, but after few reminders, we got email back from Andre with a promise to remind Mr. Santos about our case. Nothing happened though. In the meantime, we discovered another crack, and informed the Stone Design about it. I kept inquiring every couple weeks and was getting the same promise again and again. Last time it was on May 9. As of today, June 7, still nobody got back to us. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Will update this review if I ever hear from Stone Design.

The team at Stone Design by Santos are amazing! We had a particularly challenging job and they were extremely patient and so great to work with. Our stone is gorgeous and the kitchen came out stunning. Their work is meticulous and I would highly recommend!

Not only is their pricing extremely competitive but the Santos team of installers are legitimately the best I’ve ever seen. I had old stone in my shower I was replacing but keeping all the tile. Everyone told me no shot you can put in new stone without damaging the tiles. These guys didn’t chip even one mosaic tile in my shower when removing the old stone. I’m still in shock. Everything looks perfect. They also did the quartz on my new master bath and laundry room cabinetry. Can’t recommend Santos enough.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH SANTOS STONE DESIGN WAS TERRIBLE!! To start, I understood that it takes time to cut the stone but when I asked why the long wait, I was told that they have 4 other big jobs and can't get to mine right away. Why wasn't this told to me before I paid my deposit? However, I really liked the stone so I waited. When the install date finally came the guys were halfway through finishing when THE STONE BROKE! This is after its already been glued in place. What if this happened after they had left? (If I could post pictures I would). This was unacceptable. So I called the owner to see how he would rectify the situation. His responce was "we'll have another piece cut for you in a week". That's it? I refuse to wait a other week. He replied with.. "I'm not going to discount you anything". I mentioned to him that I took off from work and will have to do the same again. He could careless. So with that being said. I had my money refunded and him take his stone back. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!

Purchased granite counters for our Master Bath. Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Prices are more than fare. We would highly recommend to all!
