Stoneshield LLC is a certified applicator of Clearstone, which is a unique polyester resin. Once Clearstone has been applied to natural stone surfaces, such as marble, onyx, travertine, and other porous stone and sanded from a honed to high gloss finish, it prevents staining and acid etching. Clearstone is the only product guaranteed to prevent acid etching and staining of natural stone. It comes with a 10 year manufacturers warranty against acid etching and staining. No other product on the market offers such a warranty. Clearstone has been used in both large commercial settings, as well as residential settings. Designers, builders, architects, and homeowners have now increased their options in regards to the types of natural stone to offer, and can choose any beautiful natural stone for kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, and bar tops and can be assured that there will not be any damage from acids and stains. Clearstone will not change the look of the natural stone. It will enhance the overall look of the natural stone by bringing out colors and patterns in the stone not previously seen. Clearstone can be applied to both new or old stone surfaces. Prior to the application of Clearstone, the natural stone surface is restored to its original condition, removing any stains or etch marks leaving the stone looking new again upon completion of the application process. Although Clearstone protects against acid etching and staining, it does not protect against scratching. It is difficult to scratch Clearstone once fully cured, but if scratches, or other forms of damage occur, Clearstone can be easily refinished and/or repaired.
