I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Great Northern Builders! I had some major work done in my home to enable me to agie-in-place safely. GNB went above and beyond my expectations, All the work from plumbing, electrical, structural improvements, new spaces... unbelievably beautiful, quality work throughout. All my questions were answered, timing was excellent, the workmanship on all levels superior.

Our work started out as an insurance claim for storm damage on the roof and siding. Chris and crew did a phenomenal job so we asked him to build our deck. We had many questions and Chris took the time to answer them all. We felt very comfortable with Chris and his crew, every time a problem or concern arose Chris had a solution for us. He updated us all the time, sometimes even after business hours just so we could be at ease. They completed both projects on time and within budget. We very much appreciate GNB and would recommend them to anybody!

Great Northern rebuilt my house last summer: chimney, roof, new heating, plumbing, and electrical systems, first-time insulation, fiber cement siding, new laundry room and bathroom, built-in shelving, new windows, interior and exterior painting, re-building of a large screened porch, and even hanging of 2 pieces of large, heavy artwork. From design to punch list they were highly organized, creative, flexible, thorough, super-communicative, and reliable. No need to worry about a disappearing contractor! Since mine was an old house, we expected to find the unexpected. When we did, Great Northern came up with well-thought-out solutions, such as dismantling an old, crumbling chimney to provide ductwork space for first-time upstairs heating. Since they maintained a great relationship with me, I am assuming they do the same with their sub-contractors, because everyone showed up pronto! The Great Northern guys are a pleasure to work with. They were at my house all summer long, and. no loud music, no mess that wasn't cleaned up. At the end of the project came a delightful surprise: a housecleaner! My house is beautiful and cozy now, all except for one or two things that were intentionally left out of last year's project. For those, I'm looking forward to having Great Northern back soon. I'm no stranger to contractors, having previously owned and lived in an eighteenth-century house for 35 years, and having grown up with parents who built houses for spec. Great Northern provided by far the best house renovation experience I've ever had. They are a classy organization through and through.

This is a great place to go for smart, high-quality work, done on time and on budget. We have hired them multiple times over the past 3 years. We do a lot of our own repairs and remodels but when we have something that needs to be done especially well, by a deadline, or involves a problem we can't solve ourselves we call these guys. For example, they helped us shore up a sinking side-building with only a tiny crawl space underneath, and designed an add-on livestock shelter that is sturdy but can be taken down easily. They are efficient, polite, and pleasant to have around - I trust them around my kids and they are loved by our dog. A good, solid local company that invests in its workers and its community.

Thanks for turning my basement into a proper man cave - it looks great and makes Super Bowl even better!

We had Great Northern Builders completely finish our large basement, and Len Bogh did a great job. I never thought we could transform that basement into such a comfortable living space. My husband, who recently retired, is now putting his home office down there and he loves the space. It is also great when we have all the family staying here over Christmas. We can sleep 4 or 5 people down there.
