Linwood Green Homes by Brad Grindler

The house Brad Grindler designed for us was riddled with problems from start to finish. We gave him an opportunity to help with the problems and he did absolutely nothing. He recommended very aggressively Yager construction to build the home and that went even worse. The house is still full of problems after four years of hell. It was four times the quoted cost. Me and my wife have serious health Issues and will be out of money soon with no home. I have reached out to Brad several times with absolutely no help and Bill Mascott would not even return a phone call. I will try to reach Allan Guest. Hopefully he has more accountability than Brad Grindler or Bill Mascott. Me and my wife can only pray for someone to be accountable for this disaster it has destroyed our lives. Shame on you Linwood.

Brad Grindler has proven himself to be a master at his craft. He has been amazing to work with from start to finish with his design skills and flawless execution in making our dream home a reality. We are putting the finishing touches on and will soon be moving in. The process has been enjoyable with low stress and any issues that popped up were solved quickly with Brads expertise. My family and I recently decided to replace our 'old-timer' cabin in the Gulf Islands for a modernized building that would suit our multi-generation family. I contacted Brad early in the process and he was a valuable source of information as we considered the ifs and hows. We looked at other options but ultimately chose Brad and Linwood for a number of reasons, including a good home design with easy customizations, as well as the holistic support Brad offered, not only in the Linwood purchase itself but in the process and contacts needed to initiate the build. His local knowledge of the Gulf Islands was very helpful.

Brad was always professional, competent and supportive in our building project with Linwood Homes. He never let his ego get in the way of helping us to attain our vision. He was very patient with changes, and was always willing to help if he could. We really appreciate all of his help and advice in building our home!

We just completed building our retirement home on Salt Spring Island. The project included two Linwood buildings. The first completed was the 1500 sq ft garage/studio, followed by our 3200 sq ft residence. The project took about two years to complete. With no prior experience in house building, it was quite a steep learning curve for us. Dealing with zoning, building codes, contractors and trades people can become challenging and major decisions present themselves regularly. Brad Grinder, our Linwood rep on the island, was a very cheerful and knowledgeable consultant right through to occupancy and helped make our decisions less daunting. Linwood's design team patiently and skillfully worked with us to arrive at a plan that suited our needs and aesthetics. At every stage in the build, our trades people remarked on the unusually high quality of the Linwood materials package compared to what they typically see on their other non-Linwood projects. Moreover, any supply or delivery issues were dealt with professionally and always to our satisfaction. We do not hesitate to recommend Linwood and Brad for projects of any size or complexity.

Brad has been a consummate professional throughout a difficult project. We had little experience with a project of this size..a 600 sq ft addition to an existing cabin. Brad was invaluable in helping us identify the Structural Engineering and Geotech professionals we needed to satisfy the permit requirements. In addition he organized the challenging logistics associated with delivering materials to a steep site on a boat access only island. A job well done. I would not hesitate to recommend Brad.

Brad was exceptionally helpful to my wife and I as we planned and built our retirement home. He provided helpful advice and guidance about obtaining owner-builder authorization. He answered all our questions before, during and after we started construction and even made a visit to the building site. The quality of building materials provided by Linwood was second to none.

Brad Grindler was terrific! My wife and I began to work with Linwood Homes and Brad when we were considering the options to deal with a deteriorated family cabin in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. One option was to move the cabin and build a more appropriate new home on the site. Brad began to help us as we ran through many options for a new home; cost, size, delivery and on-site constructibility were all major factors in our decision. Brad helped us to select one of the Linwood models as a base and then to significantly customize the design to fit our site and needs. He was always helpful, responded quickly and accurately to our questions, and was creative in suggesting new approaches that we had not thought of. We consider the final design to be ours and just what we wanted, but also know that it reflects much of the input from Brad. Initially we expected to do the construction in 2017 but Brad was first to suggest that we could plan a construction schedule that would complete the home this year. We selected a builder and are currently on schedule to spend the year-end holidays there. With all of this, we are on budget! Our recommendation of Brad is unconditional. The new home project has been a consistently positive experience and Brad is the primary reason we feel this way.
