I hired Metro Building suppliers, LLC and Metro Renovations Design Build. CEO Shawn Hicks as the General Contractor to build two new single-family home in Washington DC. Mr. Hicks breached of contract, failure to complete the project on time and on budget. Mr. Hicks was responsible for hiring all contractors and making sure they receive payment once the work was completed. Mr. Hicks received all draw payment to date. Mr. Hick was paid for the completed work and failure to paid several contractors (excavator, roofer, electrician, drywall, windows, and the painter). Mr. Hicks left the project unattended and not secure 19 windows was damaged; he hired some contractors who had access to lock box and material was stolen off the properties. The back retained wall on one of the properties failed down Mr. Hicks was contacted and he never visit the property to see if he could assist. Because of lack of payment the contractor no longer showed up to complete the project. One of the contractors contacted me in reference to payment and I contacted Shawn about the payment and to provide me proof of payment. I inform him that I have the paperwork to verified that the contractors have not been paid and Mr. Hicks have not provided any paperwork.

The professionalism and work quality done by Metro Renovations is superior. Everytime I met with Mr. Hicks about a project, he also explained the project in laymen terms so I could understand what was being done. In addition, he came while the projects were in progress to show me and reexplain the progress. There were not any surprises about the costs. That information was discussed and agreed upon by both parties before work began. Metro Renovations renovated my basement, built a retaining wall for me, did rewiring for me, and replaced a hot water heater for me. I would definetly recomment Metro Renovations is you want quality work and someone who is going to honest with you about your project. They exceed my expectations each time I need work done on my house.
