MIW BUILDERS INC

I had the windows installed in April. Somehow the front window screens were destroyed and they never came back to install them. Additionally, the city never showed up for the installation inspection. Here is the bizarre part - MIW now has both, the screen installation and inspection, marked as completed in their system and will not follow-up on either. I am now having to spend my time contacting Lowe's and the city to try and get this figured out. To top it all off, the receptionist who answers the phone at MIW, had the audacity to tell me I was wrong because their system shows both were completed. Another shiesty South Florida business - stay away!

I had 21 windows installed by MIW. The guys were punctual, polite and did fantastic work. Elton was the PM and made sure everything went smoothly. I recommend this company and I have to others.

Elron got in way over his head in taking on my project. He has the skill set to do small condos -- but not a gut renovation of a 3500 sq ft house. He had several crews while he was here -- the first who were top notch quit saying they couldn;t work with Elton. They went downhill from there. Elton ended up walking off the job when he was about 80% paid. It turns out he had only done 50% of the work and much of that wrong. The terms in the contract were clear. He however has no idea what a Level V finish for skimcoating is so kept delivering inferior crews to do the same poor quality over and over. After he left he put a lien on my house. I was advised by my lawyer to just pay him off the $13,000 he demanded to release the lein and get waivers from ll the subs. I felt robbed. Adding insult to injury, the first timer I went to shower in my new master bath no hot water came out. The new GC and plumber investigated and found that two cold water lines had been run to the mixer. It had to be ripped out and replaced. Nice guy -- not competent
