I met Ty Gay about 30 + years ago. We served together in the Home Builders Association in Kinston. I found that he was always interested in serving the industry as well as the community. I had many opportunities to see his construction. There are not many builders that are capable of the quality and design that Ty Gay produces. I would definitely hire Ty to build my home.

Ty built our home in 1993. If we had to do it all over again, he's the only one we would consider.

Having known Ty and Betty for many years it was an easy decision for my wife and I to choose Ty Gay Builders, Inc. to build our first home. I had seen first hand, many times, the attention to detail and professionalism both had given to previous clients. Ty had built my parents home at Kerr Lake, and even a logistic stretch of over 100 miles away, proved to be a wonderful experience for both parties. Ty Gay Construction was our first and second choice to build our home at the beach on the Crystal Coast. Ty and his staff handled every aspect of all the intricate details of building a home from scratch and getting it right the first time. With any major build on the coast, there are surprises but, Ty did not miss a beat in meeting with and solving all of these issues. Ty has access to Architects, Engineers, Designers that can provide that special touch that made our home one of a kind and a wonderful place to wake up in every day. Ty and his staff will be my choice if and when I build another home!

I would highly recommend Ty Gay to anyone. Ty was extremely professional, punctual, accurate, accessible and a pleasure to work with. My kitchen remodel was as important to him as it was to me. He has surrounded himself with great workers and sub contractors all of whom were professional, clean and neat. High quality job, came in on budget and on time!! I will be calling him again for my next project.

Ty Gay Builders, Inc built our home in 2013. Before building, we had so many people tell us that having a home built is a huge headache. That was wasn't the case for us. We were beyond pleased during the building process and after the completion of our new home. Ms. Betty was such a joy to work with and made the whole process smoother than we ever thought possible. Ty Gay looked out for our best interests and was always easy to get in touch with if we ever needed to talk with him. Our experience in building a home with Ty Gay Builders, Inc. could not have been better, thanks to their professionalism and expertise. We are so very pleased and have enjoyed our home greatly!

Ty's company remodeled a kitchen in our 45+ year old house. He and his crew took the kitchen down to the sheet rock, replaced flooring, cabinets, lighting, appliances and came in on time and on budget. He was easily accessible during the entire process and answered all questions and concerns with respect and reasonable answers or suggestions. We would definitely use him again. We have never worked with a contractor who we felt like listened to our needs/wants and worked to attain them in the manner in which he did, all while staying within our budget. He even had subs who worked on the weekend! We love our new kitchen and are enjoying cooking again!
