Custom Carved Doors

This was a very good experience from the beginning. Hank responded well by Email and phone with me as I was in Alabama. The whole process was easy just plan at least 6 months in advance to get your door on time with how things are in 2022. When I sent him the picture of what I wanted he had a drawing within the next week. The door actually came from South Africa so took several months to get to USA. The shippers in Huntsville delayed the delivery about 3 weeks but we got it in time. The quality of the final door is excellent. I was pretty impressed with the door and exactly as order except that we order a 32" x 96" and got a 32" x 91". It wasnt a deal breaker and we were able to adjust as it was a barn/ slab door. Might be different if it was a cased door. The shipping crate was heavy duty to protect the door. Mine didn't have any scratches or dents. It's a pretty solid crate to protect it. I would recommend them to others and they do a good job of working with clients that are far away. If you want a custom statement door this is the place to get it.

I am building a custom home in the English arts and crafts style and wanted a hand carved front door that would suit a dramatic site in the mountains and the hand made ethos that is arts and crafts. I hired Custom Carved Doors to make a double door with a three dimensional tree motif for the front of the house and a dutch door for the side. They were wonderful to collaborate with, understood the project right away, worked through the details with my architect and delivered a door so magnificent I cried the first time I saw it hung. The house is still under construction but I promise to send photos when the project is a bit further along. In the meantime, if you want something really wonderful and distinctive that is lovingly hand carved and made to stand the test of time, look no further. No fiberglass doors for me and none for you either!
