Owner Jesse Robinson, with over 10 years of experience in building custom high-end metalwork in both contemporary and classic designs, his work has expanded to include restoration and preservation of historic metalwork. He works with different types of metal including steel, wrought iron, aluminum, bronze and stainless steel to create unique items. Born in Carbondale, Illinois, Jesse is an artist whose tutelage emerged from Illinois-based sculptor and fellow artist blacksmith, John Medwedeff. Jesse studied with Medwedeff at Medwedeff Forge and Design, established by Medwedeff over 25 years ago. It was there that he learned the acute attention to design and form associated with Medwedeff’s sculpture and architectural ironwork– later refining his own aesthetics which grew from his focus on the point of intersection between architecture, sculpture and spatial analiysis. Jesse has a reputation for fair dealing and works in a cooperative, professional manner with contractors, architects, interior designers and individual clients for commercial projects and residential work.
