Superior Fence & Rail

My husband and I hired Superior Fence to build a basic privacy fence on 2 sides of our yard and a 4’ gate for an area next to our garage. Their sales rep Geoff visited our property in person, and then sent us a proposal which included a drawing of the fencing we had discussed along with a 4’ section marked next to our garage (which we assumed was the gate we had discussed), and he also included a “box” around a large neighboring tree that was growing too close to our existing fence. The proposal included tear-out and removal of our existing fence and gate. On the day that the tear-out of the old fence and gate was to begin, we had a visit from Eric to go over the plans in person. Eric modified the plans because he said that a box around the tree was not necessary, instead he recommended moving the fence portion in by 8” to eliminate the need for the box. We agreed, assuming there would be a price deduction for removing the box from the plans. They proceeded to remove the old fence and gate, and replace it with fence panels ONLY, including the section that was supposed to be a gate! We were shocked by this since Geoff saw the old gate in person, before he wrote the proposal, and Eric saw it in person before the project began (and even discussed it) and then their crew saw it again when they removed the existing gate. When I contacted Superior for resolution, they claimed that we never asked for a gate and that they never quoted a gate! Why would we want them to remove a gate and replace it with a solid fence panel? There is no way for us to access that area of our yard now. Eric tried twice (in person then via email) to get us to sign a form that said, “no changes were made”. When I pressed him, he added a hand-written note about removing the box but never followed through on adjusting the cost for us. The owner Phil told us that we should have noticed that they didn’t quote a gate, because a gate would have been drawn differently in the proposal. (How would we know that?!) The owner Phil’s only resolution offered was to try to sell us a gate now for an additional $515.00! (And that was supposedly “already discounted” to make up for their poor communication) No thank you! They were already being VERY shady by not deducting the amount of the tree box they never built. (Until I pressed them multiple times about it) I would never recommend this company to anyone!

Superior Fence installed my fence over 8 years ago. I live on the beach and the metal parts of the gate rusted over time and finally failed last week causing the gate to fall. I called and spoke with Renee about exercising the lifetime warranty. I was honestly expecting to hear excuses about why my claim was outside the warranty. Instead, Renee was very kind and professional. She took my information on a Friday afternoon and first thing Monday morning, Scott called me to tell me he was on the way. He showed up about an hour later, I live on Fernandina Beach. Scott was great. Not only did he replace all the metal parts with new ones, he even replaced some of the vinyl pieces that were stained by the rust. I was already very satisfied with the installation job they did 8 years ago but I am extremely pleased that they are a company with integrity who stands behind their warranty. Thanks to Renee and Scott for a great overall experience.

I was very pleased with the work done on my new Fense. Sophth and his installers Errol and Justin were very professional in the work they have done. It only took 1 day . They really did a good job. I was very pleased with any questions I had was answered.

300 Feet of 6' cap and rail fence with two gates. Excellent construction! 6x6 posts, all pressure treated and set in concrete. Many people remarked about the impressive style. Installers were hard workers, timely, professional, and friendly. The job was completed on time.

I had a large privacy fence put in, was told it would take 2 days to complete. The workers showed up when they said they would and finished in only one day! My dogs and I were pleased with how quickly they finished and the quality of the work.

Six foot fence installed on north side of home and four foot scalloped fence installed on south side. The young men, colt, mike, and alex arrived at 7:40am, were very polite and attentive and explained what would be done. Work was completed about 11:30am and inspected. These were the nicest workers seen in a long while. Great job!

Had a new fence installed. They had to do a trench down one of our hills to make it work. It looks amazing! The staff was so nice and professional. I felt like I was working with friends. I would use them or recommend them in a heartbeat!

Removed old fence and installed new vinyl fence. Did an outstanding job. was very professional and cleaned up when finished. We are dry pleased with our new fence. We would highly recommend this group of guys and will call upon them again.

The crew for the installation were respectful and worked continuously to get the fence in quickly. The fence looks great!
