Alternative Heat Source is a good dealer in stoves and heat source supplies, but their service is poor and they are not customer service friendly. I bought a stove from them 3 years ago and had them service it faithfully, but when i had a issue recently I could not get them to respond to repair it, so I lost faith in them and would not recommend them because of their service. I went to Carl at Alt. Heat Source looking for help with a fickle stove that I didn’t originally buy from them but desperately needed help with, both operationally and service parts. Carl was welcoming and very easy to talk with. Even though I wasn’t an originally customer at their store, he gave me the same attention and help he would have given his own customer. During my short visit we identified a couple fixes to my issues and he put some parts on order. Carl also took time to explain some helpful tips on running our stove by showing me what to do on a similar model in his store. Our stove is already running cleaner and hotter. Also, If you haven’t been in their showroom yet, take the trip. You won’t be disappointed. Very neat and orderly space with a bunch of different products on display as well as design ideas. I initially purchased closer to home, which isn’t always the right answer. In the future, for my family’s stove needs and support, I’ll only be reaching out to Carl and his family and team in Naples. We recently had a Regency Insert installed in our home after years of debate! We finally chose Alternative Heat Source to do the work. Kory was beyond helpful and knowledgable before, during and after installation! Kory not only knows the product but shows pride in his work. He cleaned the chimney like it had never been cleaned before! We now have a beautiful high-functioning propane insert that completes our living room. We decided to get a pellet stove hoping to heat our downstairs. We did our research but the stove we wanted was on a long back order. Alternative Heat Source helped us find a machine we would be happy with. The stove actually heats our entire house often. Alternative Heat Source came out to install. Did a great job and helped me understand all the works and functions. They have since serviced it and cleaned it as I write in 2018. The few issues have always been caused by me . I also buy pellets there and have always enjoyed this family who runs AHS and valued by them. I HIGHLY suggest you consider them for your stove and insert projects.

Kory and the team went above and beyond in the planning and execution of this project. We were doing other areas of the house and by far this project exceeded our expectations in function and aesthetic. It is the centerpiece of all the renovations. The Crew and company are very hardworking, help you to coordinate with other vendors and truly want you to be happy with the result. They also installed a new heater that is 1/2 the footprint of the former one and works as promised. I trusted Kory implicitly and highly recommend him and HA team.
