Low flame, noisy fan. 2 year old house. We don’t like it at all. Dealer came out to the house - no solution. It’s just a below average fireplace.

We purchased an astria P/N 506023-28 fireplace from a local dealer when we built our home in 2015. We have had nothing but problems with it. Year one, the fireplace started spontaneously lighting at random times (and no, it was not a "smart" setting issue). We had the installers look at it and we had to replace - among other things - the "motherboard". They were here almost an entire day fixing it. It worked, for a few months and then stopped again. It now has not worked again for several months. So, service is here again. Now the pilot assembly is out, along with a few other issues. I would not recommend this unit to anyone. I am getting tempted to tear it out of our home and totally replace it. It's a horrible unit and was very expensive. Not worth the $ at all.

We bought 2 40” Astria Scorpio direct vent fireplaces 2.5 years ago. We’ve had trouble with both of them constantly. When they work, which hasn’t been often. The flames are blue with just a small yellow tip. We’ve had repair men to work on them 4 times. They got them both working again ( after being here 3 hrs). The repair person said this was the worst flame he’d ever seen. I regret ever buying these units.

Had Astria Scorpio installed in a new fireplace 2 years ago. Last year, the remote receiver (box under firebox) started using up 4 AA batteries about every 10 days. Not worth a $250 service call, but a pain in the …. During last season (about 2 months our of warranty, of course), the fan started making a loud noise, so we had to stop using it. At some point we will have to have service call for that. What's really annoying is that the manufacturer provides no support whatsoever ("you have to talk to a dealer" i.e., you have to spend $250 to even ask your question) The unit looks great and flame system / remote works well, but with these issues, I'd probably look elsewhere.

Manufacturing default. Brick wall broke 3 times at same place because default fabrication and the compagny refuse to replace it. The demo on the seller is broken at same place! We regret to buying astria ladera
