European Hardwood Floors

The entire experience with Daniel was top notch. The installation and clean up was amazing. The floor I had installed is beautiful and if anyone is looking to get new hardwood floors they can stop looking with European Hardwoods.

Daniel and team converted our upstairs carpet to hardwood floors last month. I had a gear experience with them two years ago when they refinished our downstairs hardwood so called them again. Daniel came out for a quote on the same day and said he could start in one weeks time and the job would take one week. It was started and finished on time and they even accommodated our request to do two rooms at a time so we didn't have to completely empty the upstairs!

European Hardwood Flooring came highly recommended and did not disappoint. They did a beautiful job refinishing our 30 year old hardwoods floor and matching them perfectly to new hardwoods which they installed in the family and dining room. They were very professional workers, and provided an excellent product. I also appreciated the care they took to be clean while installing, sanding and staining our hardwoods.

The owner Daniel is honest and hard-working. He clearly understands hard wood floors and wants his customers to be satisfied. He has a truly amazing and exceptionally hard-working crew. I am very critical of contractors and have very high standards, but Daniel and his team are truly extraordinary. Daniel was quick not only with the bid, but also with getting his crew on site to start the project. There was no low-balling to land the job, and the price was extremely competitive and fair. There were no surprises in the price, even after the carpet was removed and there was an unforeseeable amount of gashes to the red oak floor done by the carpet installers. The final price was completely consistent with the estimate for removing the damaged wood boards in areas not covered by carpet. Another reviewer was disappointed that Daniel was not on site when the project started, but if you have an issue or question, you should just contact him. He is very responsive. His crew, Jose and his son. removed individual boards that were too damaged to be sanded down and replaced each one. The end result is a seamlessly integrated and beautiful floor! They were also able to correct a shoddy patchwork board-swapping job done by previous contractor. You can't tell that there was ever a problem there. Finally, we were told by some contractors that they couldn't save our baseboards (which was important to us because it matched all the other door trim in the house) and Daniel saw that without being told and his crew was able to remove baseboard without damaging anything! Our floors after lifting the carpets were in shocking shape, nails in the boards everywhere, gashes across the middle of the floor from the carpet installers, pet stains, water damage-- but after 8 days of really hard work (and they came in to work on Saturday, too, as well as stay until 8), our floors look spectacular! We are extremely pleased and would hire again! I am truly impressed by the dedication and hard work of the entire team!

I had Santos Mahogany floors which developed fairly severe cupping, with the worst areas just on the edge of buckling. Daniel was able to repair the entire floor like new, even reducing the movement in the boards (creaks/squeaks). I was impressed with the speed of the crew, and the quality of the work is top-notch.

We had a wet hardwood floor situation due to leak from refrigerator. Through insurance I got another company for drying out the floors but they also had to take quite a lot of hardwood out from our kitchen. I was worried about finding a good contractor quickly for replacing the hardwood. Daniel came first thing in the morning after we called him the previous day, walked me through the entire procedure and gave me enough assurance that I signed him up the same day. The quote he gave us and the one provided by our insurance matched nicely and there was no problem for initial approval by insurance and subsequent clearing cheque. He did a high quality work in the house and suggested few more things like replacing the steel vents with wood ones. Overall I was very satisfied by the quality of work and responsiveness of Daniel. Daniel always picked up the phone and answered all my questions clearly. I will be happy to hire him again for any future work in my house.

Exquisite work! Daniel was very punctual, came right away to measure the area and gave us an estimate. He supervised his team several times during the process and came at the end to make sure everything was ok. It was very easy to work with both Daniel and his team, and they were able to easily accommodate all our requests. Job was completed in time and on budget. Thanks to them we now have a great looking floor downstairs !

Daniel and his crew are fantastic! We are very pleased with the great job they did installing wide plank hickory throughout our entire first floor and stairs. Not only did they do a wonderful job, but they were a pleasure to work with. Super friendly, hard working crew. Daniel told us what he was going to do and delivered exactly what he said for the price he said. He even sent one of his guys buy a week later to add a feature we wanted (even though we originally told him we did not want it). The workmanship is superb. If I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to install floors in the future, I will not hesitate to call on Daniel.

Daniel and his team were awesome! They removed carpeting from living, dining, master bedroom, den and 34 stairs and replaced it with red oak hardwood. He explained the process from beginning to end and all that was to be expected. There were no surprises. Came in on time and on budget! We asked him if he could recommend a professional to change the balusters on the main level and master bedroom landing from wood to wrought iron and have the fireplace surround changed from tile to slate. He did and that too was exceptional! We will be remodeling our Condo in Seattle soon and plan on hiring Daniel and his team again!
