About Us
Denicola's Furniture & Upholstery in Baton Rouge was founded by Jasper and Sarah Denicola in 1953. When they retired in 2011, Amy Strother bought the company, along with her partner Michael Gatz, in order to keep the legacy alive while adding a modern touch. Carl Denicola, a lifelong upholsterer and restorer, still oversees the expert craft at the workshop. It is the goal of Denicola's to operate in a socially responsible, sustainable manner by offering as many options in eco-friendly, locally-sourced materials and fabrics. We also use VOC-free paints, sealants, and strippers whenever we can.
