Evan James came through for us in such a tight pinch. We needed a coffee table top for a base found at a local shop very quickly for Christmas. We had been looking for years for just the right table in our space, never finding the exact one to fit. Evan James came to the rescue. They built us absolutely beautiful barn wood table top that matched our decor perfectly. We are so pleased. They are so delightful to work with and it was such a simple process. We showed them a couple pictures of our home and that was it, they nailed it. The barn wood looks rustic but smooth enough to place glasses and other items on it plus the edges are rounded so our kids don't get hurt. We absolutely love our piece. I was doing a full kitchen and basement renovation. Kelly provided professional design advice for everything from the floor layouts to tile selection, even coming with me to select the stone for the countertops in the kitchen. They were responsive, easy to work with and understood the style of my home and my personal style. Given their extensive experience in renovation and design, they were able to answer all of my questions quickly and provided excellent advice.

We hired Evan James to design & develop our floor plan & build out plan of our recently purchased home. It is a 19th century Gothic style row house with lots of original detail still remaining. Kelly & Andrew designed our floor plan and maximized our available space. This is a three family home in which we are completely renovating two floors for our own living space. We are adding a brand new kitchen, and two full bathrooms, as well as moving bedrooms, dining room, and living area. Kelly & Andrew have been more than helpful with every aspect of design, and they continue to guide us through the final stages of our renovation. Without their design, I would have ended up without a full master bathroom, and I could not have come up with their fantastic solutions to small space issues. Because the home had a lot of original detail that we did not want to disturb, Kelly & Andrew were able to find solutions that others could not see. I will gladly post photo's once all the work has been completed. They are fantastic with small space and developing a plan to maximize usable space, I can't wait to see the finished product. I would recommend their work without issue.

I recently purchased a new home and early in the decoration process I came across Evan James Interiors. Evan James provided me with amazing design consulting services, crafted perfect custom pieces of furniture for me (including armoires, a sofa, dressers, a desk, a bookcase, and a credenza), and sourced a range of awesome accessories (including paintings, objects d'art, a mirror, and lighting). I actually only contacted them for assistance with one room, but once I was exposed to their sophisticated design aesthetic, their thoughtful approach to helping me achieve my vision, their superior craftsmanship and their incredible customer service, I relied on them to decorate my entire home. Specifically, I have custom pieces and/or accessories from Evan James in nine rooms in my house (the formal living room, the informal living room, the entry way, the dining room, the office, the kitchen, the master bedroom, the guest bedroom, and my daughter's bedroom). My vision for my home was a casual elegance that includes a mix of rustic and modern touches. This was achieved perfectly – it is even more amazing than I could have envisioned and that is thanks to Evan James.

We requested a custom size/color farm barnwood table and bench be created for our apartment in NYC. The construction was fantastic and it fit perfectly in our apartment. The finish is gorgeous and the designers truly have an eye for creating furniture. The process from start to finish was a breeze - they are truly a pleasure to work with.
