Pictured on this and other pages throughout is the piece that sparked the passion. This antique Chinese roof tile was found in an antique dealer's booth in New York City's Chelsea district. Sadly, the tile was damaged and in many pieces. It was painstakingly restored to its current wonderful condition. We like the cracks, the breaks, and the flaws.
