Ray Woodworking

Ray Woodworking is a small custom furniture and cabinetry shop located on the island of Martha's Vineyard. Every piece I make is designed and assembled using time honored techniques like mortise and tenon and dovetail joinery. While I sometimes have pieces ready for sale, the majority of my work is done on a commission basis. While I am happy to design a custom piece for you, I am very comfortable working on design elements with clients, interior designers and architects. My goal is to create a one of a kind piece for you that you use regularly, that becomes part of your daily routine and that fits in your home comfortably through the proper use of design, wood species and finishing techniques.
