. It was so nice to have Mark Taylor's expertise, his knowledge, his resources, his talent as well as his calm and peaceful demeanor throughout our building process of a new home. Building can be quite an undertaking. Our builder was not as hands-on as I hoped (and as he promised). Mark definitely picked up the slack helping me feel more relaxed and confident in my decisions. We love our home, and we have Mark to thank for so many of the design features. Here are some of the ways Mark helped us: He analyzed our furnishings from our previous home and floor-planned them into our new home. He assisted in the selection of our stucco color, roofing color, and outdoor lighting. He created lighting and switching designs to accommodate our furniture arrangements. He designed the layout of the beams in our Great Room/Kitchen/Dining area working around the lighting placements. He made computerized renderings and drawings of special architectural features inside our home so that I could visualize those features to scale. This helped confirm that we were making the right decisions for those areas. He did this for our Dining Room niche, entry niche, chandeliers for above the kitchen island, and chandeliers above our dining room table that also had to be balanced with the windows behind the dining room table. He assisted with our cabinet designs. He had innovative ideas for storage, such as a detergent drawer that opened on one side in our laundry room and a soap and storage drawer that opened on one side by our sink in our kitchen. These have helped so much! He designed a unique and fun storage area for my CD/DVDs. He was involved in the selection of all of the interior finishes and fixtures including flooring, counters, wood finishes, wall finishes, lighting, and plumbing. He designed and created all of our window treatments. He had resources that allowed us to design and buy one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture…our sectional, the coffee table in front of it, and my desk. Mark worked very well with our builder and our builder’s subs. He had a very calming effect on them…as well as me! Mark also worked on the final staging of our home, including hanging tons of pictures, placing accessories, furniture arrangements, etc. He always accommodated my wishes unless they just were not good ideas. Then we would talk those ideas through until we both agreed on something. He is very easy to talk with! He wanted to create what I wanted in my home…not just his ideas. An added benefit is getting to work with Virginia (Mark’s wife) plus Carol. They are all wonderful, so helpful, and so nice. Mark is one of the most ethical people I have ever met. I trust him completely. He was so easy to work with…very patient…very talented. He also was very fair in his billing…always rounding down on his time rather than up.

We have worked with Mark Taylor on a few different projects now and enjoy working with him. As builders, we love the organization, visualization and ideas that he brings to projects. Our customers seem to enjoy working with him as well. We will continue to use and recommend his services in the future!
