About Us

Award winning Landscape Design & Build Services and Full Service Retail Garden Center since 1981. We have designed and installed landscapes that have been featured in Southern Living Magazine (Mountain High 2013), Nashville Public Television and Garden Design magazine (2015). Our retail garden center has been the National Retail garden center of the year as well as the Tennessee state retail garden center of the year and been named as one of the Top 100 Garden Centers in the country for the past 5 years running. We are plant geeks at heart and love to use special unique plants to create special spaces within the garden. We have a special affinity for water features with a natural look to fit your setting. We are certified installers for hard-scaping including paver patios, driveways, pool surrounds, retaining walls, fire pits and sitting walls.

I would highly recommend Willow Ridge, Robert Smiddy and his team. They did an amazing job on out out back patio. Professional, courtesy, and experts on all of our questions. We have used our patio several times now and everyone always is so impressed with the difference and quality.

Robert did the landscaping for our newly built home. This is the second project he has completed for us. I love working with Robert! He is open to having a collaborative relationship in areas where I have specific ideas of what I would like to have done. He is a fabulous designer who listens, is detail oriented and always has great ideas, even for those 'difficult areas'. Robert stands behind his work and he follows through on what he tells you he will do.

Robert Smiddy designed a garden area for our condo. His design incorporated our needs and preferences and adhered to the neighborhood guidelines. The result was a beautiful and unique plan which we have appreciated and enjoyed very much. It is colorful and easy to maintain, as promised. We couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend Mr Smiddy for landscaping projects of any size and design.

Willow Ridge has done all the landscaping design and installation for our new custom home for the last 4 years. Landscape Designer, Robert Smiddy, does a great job balancing practical considerations with aesthetic design, and follows through with his team "on the ground" to make sure the design comes together on site. We've been very pleased with communication and follow-through, as well as plant selection and design provided by Willow Ridge. They also follow through on plant warranties when things die and make sure we're completely satisfied with their work. Willow Ridge Landscaping and Robert Smiddy are a complete landscaping solution with expertise we trust.

My wife and I worked with Robert Smiddy to develop an outdoor entertainment area that included a patio, small pond and waterfall. We met with Robert several times to focus in on our vision and stay within our budget. Robert developed and executed the plan to perfection. Robert and the Willow Ridge construction staff were patient and attentive as we tweaked the plan during the construction. We have a great place to relax with our family and friends that we expect to enjoy for years. I strongly recommend Willow Ridge for your outdoor project.
