Emerge Builds

Our situation requires quite a bit of context. We were one of the first in the area to contract with Emerge. The area had just been devasted by two hurricanes in a six-week period. Everyone was vying for supplies and qualified labor so they had their hands full before the work could ever begin. A portion of our roof and rafters were removed by the high winds which was repaired by unqualified labor which later had to be corrected. I needed a roof, at this point, to halt further damage to the internals and was willing to accept this work. We were told by previous management that construction supervision would be on-site EVERYDAY so inferior work would not occur again. This never happened. Many of the missteps afterwards could have been avoided had this occurred. We could not stay in our house during the repair stage. Credit to Emerge they provided us with a trailer to live on-site. This provided my wife and I some security during this time. Once Emerge came under new management things started to get somewhat better. Competent workers began showing up, albeit on an irregular basis. Emerge's consistent shortcoming has been their failure to communicate with us on a regular schedule what's going on, why, what other avenues are they pursuing to solve the problem, etc. Weeks would pass with no-word and no workers. Where Emerge excelled is in pack-out, disaster documentation, and aid in dealing with insurance. Because of their effort in this area, I incurred no out-of-pocket expenses other than my deductible.

They were very professional, we agreed on a price and they did the job per contract, We also got a credit back for materials that weren’t needed.

After two hurricanes in less than two months, the insurance company could not decide which storm did what damage and was stalling on paying my claim. Emerge took the stress of dealing with the insurance company off of my hands and got us paid and back in our house as soon as was possible. Justin kept us updated on every step of the way and got our house back the way it was before hurricanes Laura and Delta.

I needed to add on to my concrete slab in driveway and this company came to do the job. They were all very professional and got the job done quickly and it looks great! Highly recommend and will be calling them for any other needs I have for my home.

The experience that I had with rebuilding after a Hurricane was to say the least quite challenging…. When Justin Bahr came on board as my new project manager, things began to move in a more positive direction. I noticed that he gave special notice to detail & could answer my questions from an engineering standpoint. He always provided workable solutions to each of the finishing projects. He never failed to listen or discuss any changes I wanted made. I found him easy to work with & reliable & gave valid explanations if there was any issue to face.

From the first day to the last everyone involved in our project was nothing but professional. It took a while but in the end they came through and we are very satisfied. Justin Bahr is the best!!!!
