If you're looking for a hard-working, honest, and meticulous team, look no further than Hess! Ken (Hess) and his team are first class when it comes to their attention to detail and craftsmanship. They recently renovated 2 of our bathrooms, installed skylights, heated tile floors, and the most luxurious amenities--it makes us feel like our home is now a hotel.

Ken Hess and his crew did an exceptional job on our kitchen. The job was a new tile backsplash, adding an electrical outlet to the island, installing under cabinet lighting, moving the electrical outlets to be mounted up under the cabinets, and replacing single overhead light with 3 pendant lights. The job was done in the time estimated (4 days) and the work was beautiful. Additionally, the men did a great job of completely covering/protecting the entryway, furniture, floor and counter surfaces while they worked. I wished I had taken photos of that for this review. They removed all of the tarps and cleaned everything at the end of each day, and any tools/supplies were stored neatly out of the way. We were very happy with the work!

I highly recommend Hess Contractors! From quickly responding to my initial phone call, emailing the quote in a timely fashion then listening to my ideas and changes throughout the renovation, Ken was very professional and paid close attention to every detail. He quoted two weeks to complete the project and finished it in two weeks. He and his crew even showed up on a Saturday to make sure the job was going to be completed on time! Hess Contractors gave me ideas of companies to visit when purchasing cabinets, tile, and faucets. They gave me lists of everything that needed to be purchased, from vanities to towel bars. After a day's work, he and his crew cleaned up, vacuumed, and left their tools and hardware out of harm's way. At the end of the job, they vacuumed (even the steps) and dusted. The master bath turned out better than expected! He and his crew were very straightforward, friendly and respectful.

We just had Hess Contractors renovate our entire home and we couldn't be happier! We had an excellent experience with Hess Contractors, Inc. When we decided to remodel the only full bathroom in our home, we interviewed three contractors, and we chose Ken Hess and his team for what he said about how he approaches the project. He knows that what is not seen in a bathroom remodel is just as important as all the visible updates. Our bathroom was over 50 years old, and we wanted someone who could detect and fix any hidden problems. Ken and his team did beautiful work. They also did everything they could to make sure that we had a shower available as soon as possible. They cleaned up at the end of every day and left our home in great condition. I appreciate that Hess Contractors has established relationships with local, high quality tile and plumbing businesses. I was able to go in, receive guidance, and quickly pick out what I wanted for our bathroom. We LOVE our new full bath.

I highly recommend Hess Contractors for any and all home renovations! We have worked with Hess on 3 home renovations including a rehab at the shore and a custom rehab on a new Toll Brothers home. Work completed included tile, hardwood, cabinets, ship lap, barn doors, beams, laundry room redesign, and a custom mud room! They were friendly and flexible with each and every rehab! We have used Hess contractors for 3 major renovations at our home. They added a covered porch and sided our house. They renovated an enclosed porch turning it into a beautiful, bright family room and recently renovated a 1953 bathroom into a spa-like retreat. Their work is impeccable. They are always on time, very clean and professional . Each day they would clean up the work area and leave it immaculate. I would highly recommend Hess contractors for big or small renovation projects.

Hess Contractors, Inc. is simply THE BEST contractor we have ever worked with. I won't even consider hiring anyone else. They have completed two large projects for us - a stunning basement renovation and a much needed deck replacement. Both projects came out fabulous. Ken was helpful with the design process and thought of solutions for construction issues that we had not even considered before they arose. The level of skill and craftsmanship in each project and some smaller projects they completed was off the charts. The crew felt like part of our family by the end of the project. And talk about clean!! The "construction zone" was often cleaner than the rest of the house. We had a large party after the basement was completed and were pleased to include Ken and the crew so they could hear all of compliments that were given on the quality of the work. You will not be disappointed. We HIGHLY recommend this contractor.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We have had Hess Contractors work in 2 homes of outs. 4 Years ago, we had sent in an initial deposit for 2 bathrooms but because of a leaking roof had to postpone this project. Other contractors may have just "run off" with our money but Ken being honest, followed up with us and helped us get back on track- suggesting places and people to speak with to get all of our supplies picked out. He started the job 5 weeks after we paid for the materials as promised. From the very first day, Ken and Sean were on time and worked full days, very hard and as a team. The entire project only took 3 weeks for 2 full baths. Ken was on site every day and when needed, asked for our opinions and gave us suggestions based on his expertise when we were uncertain of something. Our granite top for our master bath was damaged and he took care of getting it replaced in time to keep the project on track. In addition, Ken and Sean take great pride in their craftmanship and we truly believe the job was done without any shortcuts to perfection. We truly believe that these beautiful bathrooms sold the home a year later. Then less than a year ago, we re-hired Hess Contractors to re-do a Jack and Jill bathroom and to finish out basement. From start to finish, the renovation was virtually stress- free. We knocked down a wall between the sinks and tub and made it an open bathroom. Again, Ken and his wife Elle were so helpful. They were respectful of our budget when picking out the double sink, fixtures and flooring. Then the basement--- Ken, Sean and James were meticulous about every detail. We put in a 1/2 bath and walled off area for storage still leaving ~ 1400 sq ft for living space. Having done many basement in the past, Ken and Elle suggested paint colors and ideas for flooring and they were right. The 1400 sq ft floor is flat and beautiful. The crown-molding is perfectly lined up. We couldn't have asked for a better team of gentlemen to work in our home.

The first was a full bathroom gut and remodel and the second was a 300 sq living room addition. Both projects were stress free from start to finish.
