I highly recommend House to Home Fine Construction. As an interior designer, I have worked with Chris on both client homes, and my own home. Chris and his team completed a renovation in my home that included main living spaces, a bathroom, laundry room, and a new staircase. Chris is personable, responsive, and professional. He and his team are all courteous and complete their work to the highest standards. Their attention to detail is unmatched. All of the trades and sub-trades were professional and very tidy. I recommend him to all of my clients and plan to work with him again on future personal projects.

We could not recommend Chris and his crew highly enough! Having moved to Ontario at the start of Covid and with housing inventory at a minimum we ended up buying a house in Oakville which was 'tired' requiring a complete renovation. We interviewed several contractors but on meeting Chris we were immediately impressed with his knowledge, flexibility and the detail in his budgeting. What distinguished Chris from the others was that they all wanted us to sign on for a 700K spend with considerable 'trust' with limited detail in the fine print. Chris however broke the quote down to every element in each room. This allowed us to spend 'rich' on one room but 'moderate' on other aspects to allow our budget dollars to go for the biggest bang where we wanted it. Communication - unlike with other contractor experiences we've had Chris doesn't take the contract and then you never see him or he responds a few days later to phone calls or emails. Throughout the project we talked daily with weekly walk throughs to ensure our scope and vision were always aligned with his progress. Vision - Chris is as much a designer as he is a contractor. Through extensive consultation he strove to determine our tastes and vision and then steered us to vendors that would complete the look we were going for...and within budget. Honesty - There were never any hidden costs or 'up-selling' once we were in the build. He kept us on budget providing options to keep us on track. Workmanship - We could not have been more impressed with every sub-trade he brought in. Highest compliments paid by anyone were by the subtrades I would speak to on-sight. They all expressed how demanding Chris was of them but that they all knew what the expectations were if they wanted to work for Chris. To a trade they said they would hire Chris themselves for a renovation project. Recommendation - We could not recommend Chris enough and have since put him onto other good friends for their projects, big and small.

We engaged with Chris from House to Home on a full house renovation. He gutted our Glen Abbey house down to the studs and turned it into a South Oakville looking home on the inside -- modern open concept layout and thoughtful design that brings in lots of natural light. Chris and his team delivered a high-quality product with great attention to detail. The craftsmanship of the custom kitchen cabinetry and trim work throughout the house is impeccable. Chris was great and very patient in talking through options with us. He cared about the project as much as if it were his own house. Chris Krecisz from House to Home did an exceptional job building our new custom home! My husband and I have been wanting to re-do our basement for a long time but have yet to encounter anyone that we trust enough to hand over the project, until we met Chris who completed a condo make over for my parents over the summer. The condo renovation was a fabulous job well done (see my other review) and we decided that Chris and his team should renovate our basement as well. Our original basement was crudely completed by the previous home owner and needed to be torn down to the studs and rebuild. While we have some ideas what we want for the new basement - a gym area, a new bathroom, a guest bedroom, a photography darkroom, and more storage, it wasn’t until we started talking to Chris that some of the finer details came into fruition. And it is the finer details that set our project apart from “just another” typical basement renovation. As we discussed how we plan to utilize the space and what are some of the constraints in the basement (e.g. low bulkhead, furnace and water heater placement, electrical panel location, etc), Chris was able to provide solutions that are truly tailored for our space. For example, his ideas of a floating stair case not only became the focal point of the basement but also opened up the look and feel of the basement; various custom shelving and storage maximize the use of tight spaces that appear well integrated and purposeful with the surrounding; the use of floor to ceiling tinted glass doors that offers privacy but at the same time opened up our guest bedroom with the recreation/gym area when not in use; and the once dingy cold room is now a well insulated storage providing additional square footage to the basement. Both my husband and I are very hands-on people, so we always have lots of questions and are always interested in the details and procedures on how things are done. Chris never failed to get back to us on any inquiries that we have. He kept all aspects of the project in check and stayed on schedule. After the renovation, our basement is more than just a functional space. It is a space that we love spending time in and proud to show off to our friends and family. Chris truly delivered his brand “House to Home”, making our home so much more enjoyable. We look forward to our next project with Chris.

We hired Chris and his team at House to Home when we needed to do a full renovation of our basement. In the beginning, when I described my goals and vague vision to Chris, he had creative and practical ideas for how to get the best use of our space. He was collaborative with our designer and provided helpful advice on achieving design goals with attention to balancing quality and price. The job was done beautifully. What was once a big general playroom in our basement is now two rooms separated by beautiful custom barn doors - one a beautiful dance and yoga studio with heated floors, the other a practical room for older children to spend time in. His team was dedicated to the project until it was completely finished, insisting on hanging TVs and little accessories for us so the job was done to the completion of our vision. This is the fourth project we have hired House to Home for. We trust their integrity and the quality of their work and are grateful for the work they have done in our home.

Before we hired Chris we interviewed several building contractors. We decided to go with his company because of his knowledge, experience, and a 'can do' attitude. We were very happy with our choice. During the construction process we were impressed with Chris's attention to detail, positive problem solving ability and a hands-on approach to the project. The work progressed on time, the only small delays were due to severe weather and even then, his contractors were willing to work hard in very low temperatures in order to get the job done. For example, at the beginning he noticed things in our drawings that was going to cost us way more money than we should spend and came with me to the architect to rectify this problem.
