John Padgett Design & Construction

I strongly recommend John Padgett Design on the basis of my recent kitchen remodel. John is professional, friendly, easy to reach, and definitely on top of things from start to finish. He made excellent suggestions for design and materials and saw to it that every detail was completed to his high standards. Furthermore, the cost was quite reasonable. Working with John was a rewarding experience--he's definitely the contractor I'll call for any future projects.

We found John on Houzz. He completed a re-model on our second bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen involved taking down some walls, raising the ceiling, new cabinets, flooring, tile backsplash, countertops, lighting and appliances. The bathroom involved changing from tub to walk in shower and shower room floor. John stayed on schedule, was responsive to questions, able to work through various options with wall removal. John has a good team that were knowledgeable and easy to work with. His suggestions for vendors for tile, countertop slabs and appliances were all good. We are very pleased with our changes to our home.

John was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. When we were getting estimates, John was easy to work with, gave us great ideas for how to lay out our kitchen, and responded promptly with a quote. While doing the work, he and his team were extremely hard working and meticulous. If they found any issues (which happened a couple of times due to sub-par work done by previous contractors), John followed up promptly with updated estimates of the cost. And, after the work was done, he and his crew came back to address some minor issues I found. I feel so fortunate to have worked with a contractor that was honest, fairly priced, knowledgeable, and willing to do whatever was needed to get the job done right.

John and his crew completed what started out to be a kitchen remodel but ended up including living room, dining room, family room,staircase and three fireplaces. It has been my experience in business, as in life, that those individuals who do high quality work also posses a high degree of integrity. It is exactly this combination that you need in the company that remodels your home. And that is exactly what we found in John and his team. The black walnut and stainless staircase is spectacular and the kitchen islands cascading granite too just pops. We just love coming home . Everything turned out better than we hoped for. We hired John Padgett to remodel our kitchen, laundry area, and guest bathroom. In the kitchen they replaced the floor to match the wood floor in the dining room and replaced all the cabinets and appliances. They relocated the laundry from the kitchen to the hallway and created a new laundry center where the old furnace closet and linen closet were located before. The old laundry area in the kitchen became space for a large pantry, microwave, bar sink, and wine fridge. Excellent for entertaining and additional counter space. In the guest bathroom they replaced the old tub and tile surround making that look brand new. Padgett's crew were true professionals. They always cleaned up after themselves and left their work area clean and organized every day. Padgett did a great job of estimating the costs and keeping us informed all throughout the process. We highly recommend John Padgett and his crew for any remodeling work you need done.

I contracted John Padgett and his team to complete a major home renovation that included complete redesigns/renovations of 3 full bathrooms, fireplace demolition and redesign/rebuild of mantel and hearth, and porcelain tile and carpet flooring for the entire house (both upstairs and downstairs). John, his team and his sub-contractors were always attentive, professional and consistently cleaned their work areas at the end of every work day. They offered up some great design ideas that we had not originally thought of but ended up adding a very nice touch to the renovations (for example, shower niche designs). Most importantly, they did good, quality work and the renovations finished on time and within budget which was a huge relief given how big the project was with all of its moving parts. We were extremely pleased with the final outcome of the home renovations as the house looks absolutely beautiful. I and would highly recommend John Padgett and his team.

What a perfectly AMAZING experience remodeling my entire kitchen/living room with John and his crew!!!! ALWAYS professional, helpful, considerate, and thoughtful throughout the entire process and took the time to help us make the best decisions each step of the remodel. His crew was a pleasure to have in my home and could not have been more professional or polite!!! I say a prayer of thanks each time I walk into my new GORGEOUS kitchen and living room and would recommend him without hesitation for any job.... Thank you John, for making our house of 28 years into the home of our dreams !! You absolutely are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!! What , I can only give you 5 stars??? Should be ten times higher than that!!! John and his team were fantastic. I originally reached out to him late on a Friday afternoon and got a response within in the hour. This behavior continued as we worked together on our kitchen remodel. John was courteous, respectivful of our budget, and trustworthy. We were originally only seeking a small amount of help replacing kitchen cabinets and new countertops. What we ended up with is a brand new kitchen with fixtures, countertops, tile backsplash, and cabinets. The transformation is incredible. John answered a lot of questions for us up front and helped us problem solve and trouble shoot any potentional road blocks. As a result, the entire process was quick, productive, and hardly intrusive. We have already recommended him to our neighbors and family and we wish we had connected with him sooner. We are now currently seeking his expertise with new flooring (a job we originally had a major home rennovation store scheduled to do but who created more problems then solutions). Now that we know, and as we continue to make improvements to our home, John will be the first person we call. Huge thanks to him and his team.

We used John Padgett for our recently remodeled guest bathroom. He and his team did an outstanding job. He offers helpful, creative ideas from his extensive knowledge and years of experience . The workmen were hard working, dependable, skilled tradesmen who take pride in their work. They cleaned up well at the end of each day as well. Unlike other contractors we've worked with, John is a stickler for detail and won't settle for mediocracy. I would highly recommend John Padgett Design for any type of home remodeling. Our bathroom is exactly what we envisioned. It's just beautiful, unfortunately my photos don't do it justice.

John and his team did an excellent job for our master bath remodel. We found him through Houzz and he had great advice to help us plan our project. He has extensive experience so he can give you a high-end or cost effective solution. His project manager Adrian was amazing and the tile and cabinet sub contractor's work were of the highest quality. John and his team were highly responsive and addressed the minor issues we had. He is busy for a reason, hire him if you can!

I hired John Padgett Design and Construction to replace the cabinetry, countertops, harwood flooring, and lighting in my kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway. During the course of construction, I ended up asking him to remodel the lighting and cabinetry in two additional bathrooms. The overall project took about four weeks. John himself is very knowledgable, respectful, detail orientated, and cost competative. I found his pricing, especially on the granite fabrication, to be the best I found in Orange County. He owns his own fabrication shop, and the workmanship on the granite was exceptional. Probably the thing I appreciate most about John is his ownership of the quality of the work. He was not satisfied until the work was completed to my satisfaction and his high standards. He kept his word, was on time, and made sure his crew cleaned up after themselves. He handled requests for additions to the scope of work with ease. Unfortunately, because of his good reputation, John and his crews are in pretty high demand, but if you have the opportunity, John Padgett is a good choice for kitchen and bath remodelling jobs.
