About Us

Matthew Meccia Sr. began Meccia Construction in his hometown of Bloomfield, NJ back in 1962. Quality Craftsmanship was the foundation of his business plan. Add to that his unparalleled customer service and the business quickly took off. Matt introduced his son Matt Jr. to the business early on. He worked alongside his father to learn the various trades that he would need to know how to become a success and hopefully take the business over in the future. Matt Jr., having spent time at the jersey shore moved the business to Belmar in 1989. Quickly the company grew and evolved into what it is today. Meccia Building and Remodeling is now owned and operated by Matt Jr., and he proudly carries on what his father started so many years ago. Meccia Building and Remodeling continues to serve Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties in New Jersey.

Just completed a construction project by Meccia Building and Remolding. Matt Meccia, Ian, Keith and Dave worked in our home with professionalisiom, courtesy and an utmost respect for our home. We hired Meccia Building and Remodeling to renovate our Ranch style home into a more contemporary style with a second floor addition. The Meccia team of highly skilled craftsman and their dedication to the job kept the project moving and the renovation was completed on schedule and budget. The transformation of our home was immaculate. Matt and his team’s professionalism and reliability made them very comfortable to work with. Hired Meccia Construction for a kitchen remodel. It was not a basic remodel....had to take down a load bearing wall and opened up the entire main level. I was a bit a nervous but Owner (Matt) was there every step of the way. Responded to every call and text....even on Sunday. His guys on the job were very professional and were even good with my dogs. Kitchen was completed on schedule and looks AMAZING! Will be using Meccia again for my upcoming garage addition.

In October of 2014 Meccia Building began a huge and extensive project for us. We had Matt change locations of our kitchen and dining room along with adding a mud room. Six weeks later I was cooking and entertaining in my gourmet Tuscan style rooms. We are thrilled with the work that Matt and his crew did. They arrived early each day and completely cleaned up each night – including sweeping the entire area. The end result is our absolute dream kitchen. From the design stage to the final details, Matt was professional, courteous and extremely helpful. His ideas were fantastic! I look forward to using Matt Meccia for any future project we have! I would highly recommend him!
