M. K. Brummel, Inc. is a full-service home remodeling and building company. We have retired and closed as of 12/31/2022. From its beginning in 1992, the company has provided clients throughout the western suburbs with superior service and workmanship at competitive prices. Founder Marty Brummel brings more than 35 years of construction experience. He is directly involved in the progress of all projects.

Marty is amazing, always reliable, does excellent work and extremely trustworthy. He did my addition 15 years ago and still comes back for the small jobs now. Highly recommend!

Marty Brummel has been our contractor of choice for about 20 years. His work is excellent. His work ethic is amazing. I'll never forget the 1st time I met him. He called me to let me know he'd be 5 minutes later. The other contractors I'd interviewed had a far more elastic view of appointment & work times. Marty is accessible & responsive to his clients. What can I say? We've had him do 5 big projects in our home over the years...often when we were absent. I trust him implicitly!

Marty helped us remodel our 1980's home from it's original Tudor-style with no front porch, too-small sliding door, ugly stone fireplace and old windows and doors into the beautiful home we have now. He did a great job and was very professional. I have referred Marty numerous times and would again. I would be happy to provide additional before/after pictures upon request.

Commented: I love the window trim geometry. Since it was custom made, how could ISorry, but I don't think I have any of the profile sheets any longer. We duplicated the original moulding. I believe the supplier had knives made for the shapers. Of course, they went out of business ...

Commented: Where can you get the reproduction oven/stove with vent?The stove is an original that was redone. I believe the owner found it it Montana? It is as gorgeous in real life as it is in the pictures. The hood was made by a custom shop out of California. I don'...

Commented: I really like the trim. Where did you get it?The trim was custom milled cypress. It could be done in clear pine, but, depending on environment, may rot over a period of time.
