One Cut Construction

My husband and I want the world to know that Scott (owner) from One Cut Construction is professional, dedicated to the task, his craftsmanship is meticulous and his perfectionism serves him well in this type of work. We had many projects done by Scott. Our biggest project however was to resurface the exterior of our house. During our exterior re-designing project, he joining us on our vision and renovation journey of what we wanted our home to become. His perseverance, communication skills and vision combined with his attention to detail made our re-designing project a walk in the park!. The project included estimating and ordering the proper quantity of materials, from different sources, this included everything from wrapping, strapping, cutting and installing siding (Maibec), installing stone on the chimney, all related and additional electrical (overseeing the work), extensive caulking and some landscaping around the property. Scott also coordinated some of the tasks to other professionals such things as the electrical portion of the project. He does mostly of the work but does sub-contract some trades when needed. Actually, once he had contacted the electrician, we dealt directly with that trades person directly. Some of the design decisions needed to be made during the actual process (in real-time) of the project. Scott discussed all of these with us prior to moving forward while respecting and taking into consideration our vision. His ability to foresee hurdles is amazing! During this project, he noticed that one window was damaged; he shared that with us and we agreed it needed to be changed. This was done as well! During the project, we added a front cedar deck to match the porch. Scott completed that project as well. He provided such valuable design suggestions! It worked out really well. The house looks amazing - like it should be in a magazine…or so that’s what people share with us when they stop in front of the house to complement our taste on design and colours! The added porch and additional lighting on each side of the panels looks amazing... Here is a segment of what we shared with him once the project was completed: "You guided and helped us from freely providing names of your valuable and trustworthy key trade partners, those that you’ve created with time in your field, to offering your “on the spot” suggestions about design decisions and how best we could make our building materials work for us at crunch time, and really, everything and anything that came up in between. You coordinated and worked with the various trades persons as though it was all part of the project – we really appreciated your flexibility on that, too. Oh, and your patience is golden! I think the end results speaks for itself – you should be proud of your stamp. Thank you so much for everything and you are welcome to stop in anytime".
