P & J Contracting, Inc. has been in business for 20 years and specializes in roofing. Some things we do different than other companies: Manufacturer's specifications call for 4 nails per shingle.We use 6-7 nails per shingle and are driven in the proper areas which allows for higher wind speeds than the product offers. Since we live in Michigan it needs to be done and other companies do not do that. All capping is 4 nailed instead of 2 to prevent blow offs in the wind. P & J does not sub-contract any work, this not only enables us to control work being done but also greatly limits mistakes and in turn limits excuses. As a working owner I will be on the job daily to not only oversee my crew but also to ensure that all work is done to the highest degree of quality.
