We needed a complete bathroom remodel to make our bathroom ADA accessable as my husband is in a wheelchair. There was alot to be done-removing the existing tub and replacing it with a roll-in shower,replacing the toilet with an ADA compliant unit, and fixing a floor that was dryrotted from current and previous leaking. The 5 ft vanity counter and sink was removed and replaced with a smaller unit which was moved to another wall giving us a open center. This was completed with tileing the whole floor. The door now has special hinges that allow the door to open completely and my husband can now get his wheelchair thru the door. Working with a small space, John completely tranformed the bathroom into a place that is easily accessed. He was great in working with us and taking our ideas and concerns into consideration. John went out of his way to ensure that we weren't inconvenienced for any length of time, even if it meant staying late to install the toilet so we weren't without.

I contracted with this firm to insulate our attic and remodel the main bathroom, refloor the home entry and fix a broken window. The work has been top quality. Subcontractors (insulators, plumber, electrician) have likewise been professional and the work they did flawless. Prime contractor (John Burch) has a good understanding of the age of our home and how to spruce it up. He completely turned our old bathroom around, floor to ceiling, and was amenable to any changes we requested. He has the experience, a great attitude, and was very good about keeping us informed on schedule and issues.

“I have hired John several times within the last 4 years to remodel and repair my 45 year old home. He replaced my floor in my laundry room (dry-rot), widened the bathroom to accommodate a Jacuzzi bathtub with ADA approved grab bars (I love it!), and rewired my outside lights for the house. In 2011, he replaced my shop roof which entailed tearing rotten roofing off the shop, reinstalling new roof and new composite. He did such a nice job that I had him replace my porch roof (which was also rotten) and install new roofing material. John is also great at laying gravel. He made several sidewalks for me to use around my chicken coops so that I would not slip and fall in the mud. John also put new gutter around my house and fixed several of my outside sprinkler heads which had cracked pipes. John is the ultimate contractor for anyone needing any job done. He is an expert at giving bids and there are never any hidden surprises. If I had a budget for any of the jobs, (like the Jacuzzi bathtub), he was careful to stay within my budget. He arrived to work on time and always stayed in constant communication as to the status of the job. I would highly recommend John for any job and will be using him this summer to replace my carpet with tile and paint the outside of my house.”
