Starting with my father, R.A., our company’s specialty has always been fine woodworking and custom carpentry. He started me off as an apprentice cabinet maker at age sixteen. That was over forty years ago and I still have and use many of his old hand tools. I have been taught the “old school” way.
Today I run R.A. Jordan & Sons as a residential construction company. I specialize in renovations, restorations and additions. I have remained true to my roots, continuing to do the custom mill work and cabinet work in our shop, most of which I design.
With all of my projects there is that “hands on” quality that you just don’t get from something that is stapled together in China. My methods and techniques are founded on the idea that projects should be done thoroughly, correctly, and look great all at the same time.
