Don't use them. What you have here is a slick sales operation lead by a salesman Drew (the actual owner, contractor and licence holder lives in California and you will never meet him and he will never see your job). The workmanship itself ok in the end, but the crew here will underbid on the contact and then ramp up the costs significantly. Deadlines came and went with whole weeks where no work was going on and only threats made work happen. This is a nightmare contractor which operates unethically and is on the brink of going out of business. Most work was actually done by sub contractors several of who have been stiffed on payment. As I discovered many in the city will no longer work with them unless money is paid up front. I should of realized the red flag when one sub on my project contacted me and said they would only work if I paid them directly.

The look of the kitchen turned out amazing and the quality is great, but working with Revive was not so pleasant. When we first met with Drew, we felt a good connection and that he caught our vision of the remodel. He backed up his work with referrals of other jobs they had completed. We felt good about moving forward with Revive.
The first step in the process was to develop the plans with their in-house designer & submit for approval to the city. During this time Drew (Revive owner) was not involved in the project at all. Not only was the designer in charge of the layout, design, etc... but it felt as if she was acting as the project manager as well (not good). We were very up front in the design process and set a clear vision of what we wanted -- there was no guessing as to what needed to be done. What should have been a fairly quick design process (2 weeks max) ended up taking almost six weeks to complete from when we signed our contract with Revive. The designer ended up leaving Revive due to health problems and when we brought the time issue up with Drew he did credit our account for the extra design time. Once the design was completed we were handed off to our actual project manager, Mike Elliot -- he was great!
Throughout the process Mike was available to talk with us at pretty much any point. That said, it felt like our project was not a priority for Revive until we complained about the delays in progress. At one point we had a completely stripped down/demo'd kitchen for almost 4 weeks before actual work began.
The biggest hold up, we were told, was with the cabinets. Revive told us the cabinet contractors were behind and it would be 6-8 weeks before they could start building them -- add 2-3 weeks more and that's when we actually had cabinets ready to install. During the cabinet installation we were able to have a candid conversation with the cabinet shop owner. He told us that they would have had the cabinet installation on the calendar much sooner, but were waiting on payment from Revive. We had paid Revive for the cabinets as agreed to in the terms of our Cost-Plus contract with them, so what were they doing with our money that they couldn't pay him.
I feel that they don't have a good relationship with subs and they find them the same way you or I would -- you're better off finding them yourself. We picked out appliances, backsplash, and countertops with the designer at the beginning of the project but when it came time to install they were all on backorder. Revive did nothing to ensure they'd be in stock, further delaying the project.
My biggest complaint with Revive was that after the project was finished we were to receive a completed project summary and reimbursement for the overage we had paid them under the agreement. We had to request several times for these items and finally, after a few months, they sent a digital version of the project summary. Upon review of the project summary I noticed a few errors that amounted up to a fairly decent dollar amount -- so we asked them to make the corrections. Several weeks after no reply, I complained again and this time Drew responded clarifying a few points and explaining that a charge which had no invoice was an accounting error & would be fixed. After hearing nothing for several more weeks and several follow up emails to Drew, he finally hand delivered the project summary and reimbursement in December 2014 -- a full 10 months after the project had been completed. But the corrections we asked for had not been resolved. We communicated to Drew several times that the error was not resolved and he finally got back to us after about a month; stating that the missing invoice was for hours worked by the finish carpenter and that somehow the invoice was left out of the summary. It is my opinion that these documents were fabricated so that Revive didn't have to pay us the money on the initial missing invoice. But without physical proof to back up my statement, it's just not worth fighting for.
People have asked me who did our kitchen remodel and that it looks amazing! When they ask if I would recommend our contractor I always answer not in a million years. Their complete incompetence after the project had been completed is headache enough to never warrant a referral for Revive from us -- let alone the delays, miscommunication, and lack of integrity.

I hired this company for a full house remodel. As we have begun work they have been responsive and seem to really be looking out for my best interest. I don't feel they are trying to squeeze every penny out of me or push me into their agenda. They have even come up with thoughtful ideas to help me reduce the cost and stay within project scope and budget.
They have also worked well to keep the work environment clean and good communication with my neighbors as the project has evolved to ensure the least amount of impact on them.

Revive took this project from idea to completion. They were very easy to work with and didn't laugh at some crazy ideas for this home remodel. They also directed me in directions that made even more sense and looked better than what I originally had in mind. My master suite and master bath look incredible! Thanks guys.
