We cannot thank Sam and his crew enough for the gorgeous kitchen & bathroom renovation started in Dec 2023 & completed in Feb 2024. We are amazed it was only 8 weeks from start to completion despite the work spanning the holidays. The work was extensive and included the gut reno of our 38 yr old kitchen, reno of 1st floor bathroom, new dining room floor and new HVAC system. We are a semi-retired professional couple who own homes in Highlands, NJ & Arden, NC. During our child-rearing years, we lived in 3 different houses in a 24 year span – all older homes needing renovation. Even the well-intentioned contractors we used lagged in timelines & were vague communicating when snags occurred. Since Covid/2020, we’ve heard stories of disarray & broken promises from acquaintances undergoing renos due to supply shortages & unreliable contractors. As a result, we were ambivalent about a reno prior to meeting Sam and even considered selling the home as an alternative. We found Sam’s Construction & Renovation while cruising the Internet & seeing pics of a beautiful kitchen reno posted by a happy client. We sent Sam an e-mail inquiry & pics of our dilapidated kitchen. He responded so professionally, offering a free phone consult to see if his company was a fit for our needs & budget. From there, we had a 90 min. in-home consult at a modest fee, refundable if we committed to the project. From the inception of the job, Sam impressed us as a highly-skilled, ethical & personable G.C. attentive to all aspects of workmanship. His proposal & contract were comprehensive and left no question unanswered. He is an excellent collaborator and very talented in his artistry. Sam listened well to our tastes for design & created a perfect blueprint well-aligned with our budget. His pricing was extremely fair and his transparency with the cost of each component was exemplary. As the work progressed, we learned of Sam’s generosity and his devotion to cost-cutting. One of multiple examples was his kindness in having his men pick up & deliver 3 separate orders of heavy backsplash to save us the cost of delivery. In addition, he surprised us with complimentary features & accents to the reno at no charge. We were very pleased with the high quality of Sam's employees & sub-contractors. Sam remained in control of each step of the project & was readily available if issues arose. Yet his crew, i.e. HVAC specialist, electrician, plumber, carpenters & painters were so prompt, hard-working & unobtrusive that we felt comfortable with them at all times. We are delighted with our new kitchen, bathroom & flooring and are so very grateful to have found Sam. He far exceeded our expectations and was a pleasure to work with. We give him the highest recommendation possible & would happily serve as a reference to prospective clients.

We hired Sam to paint the entire house, sand and restain the floors, and replace the spindles on 2 staircases and we are very happy with the work his team has done. His price was very competitive. Sam is very down to earth and responsive if you have any questions or comments, although he could be a bit aggressive salesman at times (not a bad thing at all, we did end up going along with some of his suggestions). It was a pleasure to work with him. If we had any issues with old colors coming through on the walls, he would bring his painters back in to fix. Overall, we are happy and will rehire Sam when next project comes along.

Sam came referred to me highly recommended and did not disappoint! While working well with our architect and others offering opinions, Sam brought his own fresh and creative ideas to the project. All the trades showed up timely and worked the jobsite while mindful that outside the work area there were other business operating in the same building being mindful of noise, dust, etc. If you work with Sam I'm sure you'll have the same experience.

Never finished the work. Never came back to finish a lot of things that went wrong. I spent a lot of $ redoing bathroom kitchen basement doors and tile in my basement. Very sarcastic and unprofessional. Don’t let him work on anything because he will blamei his crappy work on anything and everything. My counter is separated from my tile in my kitchen (gave him months to come back) my cabinets over the refrigerator has a big gap (again I gave him months to come back) I was supposed to get fillers for the cabinets and missing pieces (NEVER CAME BACK) Also my biggest issue he was supposed to replace my basement door and it still leaks from the door and from the block he built up (I got a replacement door and he refused to put it in without charging me again) outrageous! I definitely would not Recommend this company! Now I am left with a mess and have to hire someone else to fix everything

I'm a property manager at an apartment complex in Bordentown, and Sam's Construction did a roof on one of my buildings here. The job that was done is amazing. It is now the best looking roof on the site. Thank you so much Sam for doing an amazing job.

We used Sam's Construction & Renovation for our kitchen and dining room renovation. Sam and his team were wonderful to work with from the very beginning all the way to the final moment. They were very thorough and went over everything that was going to happen with the time frame. Sam and his crew were on-site all day and ensured to leave the renovation site clean and safe upon each day’s end. The entire crew was polite and very transparent with what they would be working on that day. They did beautiful work! Sam guided us throughout the entire process and helped us with ideas that would work and would not work for the project. He clearly has a strong eye for design and makes the finished project look beautiful! We love the fact that once a week we would have a conference call with Michael and he would answer any questions we had. If Michael was unsure of an answer, he would find out from Sam and get back to us with the answers later that day. Michael would also email us at the end of the week with a summary of the week’s progress, answers to any questions, and an itinerary for the upcoming week. Sam and his team finished the project in their estimated time frame and we are beyond happy with the finished project. We will continue to use Sam’s Construction & Renovation for future projects within our home and would HIGHLY recommend this company for use!

This company is the best! My wife and I interviewed other companies that either didn't show up for their appointments, or did not return our phone calls. Sams stayed in touch with us from start too finish, provided stellar service, and exceeded our expectations. Sam's Construction & Renovation, LLC is professional, trustworthy, and reliable. The results of the work will leave you feeling accomplished and convinced that you picked the right team for the job. In order to reduce the job costs, the demolition portion of our project we tackled with our families support. However, Sam did provide emails with picture guidance so it always felt that we worked collaboratively. 3D rendering images were provided with our initial consultation this was very helpful. In addition, photo updates were provided by Sam throughout the whole process of the project which filled us with so much joy. Sam, the owner, was always available via email, phone, and text. When he said he would call, he would. When he said he needed to reschedule, he would keep his word and make sure the task was completed. Many times the one-on-one attention made us say, "Wow, we feel like we are his favorite clients!" Having a contractor share with you these words is a good sign, "if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life." His vendors and team were very loyal and worked cohesively. They did clean up after their messes too. We had a large kitchen and home remodeling project. The entire house received electrical LED lights installation on 2nd floor. Hardwood floors were stained down to the 1st floor. New hardwood floors were installed in the entire kitchen. The kitchen weight-bearing wall was removed and a 22ft support beam was installed and a 5ft kitchen island was created. The kitchen Fabuwood cabinents were installed with gorgeous granite countertops and marble backsplash tile. The modern appliances were installed with modern electrical work up to standards which the outdated 1957s house needed. All light fixtures were installed and mounted. Overall, the scope of work was extensive but Sam's Construction & Renovation LLC pulled it off!

We worked with Sam's Construction & Renovation to completely renovate our laundry room and garage. We had a significant amount of re-wiring & plumbing work to be done. Sam was able to grasp the needs we had for the job and to translate our vision into reality. He and his team have incredible skill and tenacity. I am thrilled with our end product and we know have a laundry room and garage to be proud of! I would definitely work with Sam and his team again.
