After searching high and low for an honest, experienced contractor, i finally came across Shawn and his team. Equally important is his work ethic, creativity and attention to detail. Shawn was very upfront with me with his detailed bid, which by the way was extremely competitive, Beyond that, Shawn actually worked his magic and got things done i gave up on. For example, I had walls in our office that needed to be moved, he quickly made the changes. He even help with the AC and Heat, several HVAC guys give me bids to install a new system. However, every single one of them flaked. Also, each one of them had a 3-6 month waiting time period before they could start the job. I was blown away with their unprofessionalism. I told Shawn about my troubles, and with a snap of a finger, he got another HVAC contractor to come and install a new system within a week and at a price that was reasonable and fair, including his small commission. He also did a complete bathroom remodel, changed out all my doors, creatively redirected my dryer air exhaust, updated all my lights to LED, installed NEST thermostats, and the list goes on and on. I could not be happier with his services and him personally. In short, i'm beyond thrilled to give SB Building Construction my full recommendation. If i could give him 10 stars, i certainly would be delighted to as that's what his company is all around. 10 stars!

Shawn Butcher is organized, conscientious, knowledgeable, a creative problem solver who listens closely to what his clients are hoping to achieve. He is a good communicator who kept me informed of developments throughout the project which made it an enjoyable process.

We have found Shawn Butcher in Maui, Hawaii to be very honorable and well qualified. He gave his own, others and our ideas in our total remodeling of a two bedroom, two bath condo a lot of thorough thought, with great knowledge of building. He did what he promised and worked well with his chosen sub-contractors, finishing on time. We are totally satisfied with his work and he stands behind everything he has done. His personality was very agreeable, easy to work with and understanding of our needs. He is very detailed and forward thinking. He followed through on each item on the punch list at the completion of the job.

SB Building and Design laid out flooring on our 2604 sq ft home, both wood and tiles.Shawn B is a perfectionist in every detail. We have been getting compliments on our floor. We have checked a few of his completed work before he did ours and what we saw amazed us. We decided right then and there that he is the one we wanted. Easy to deal with too.
