Brian (who shares the same name as Hawaii's junior Senator) was referred to us by the architect Lorraine Minatoishi of WRNS. The job involved a down to the studs renovation of a small cottage built in the 1920s, plus addition of an extended garage, a master suite, and a completely updated kitchen. As construction began Brian sent us weekly photos to update us (we were living in California while construction was going on in Honolulu) and it became immediately clear that we had hired a true artisan/craftsman. He took pains to craft immaculately even parts of the house (the new rafters and insulation) that no one would ever see. Brian kept on schedule; and the inevitable budget over-run was due to our continued upgrading of finishes and was no fault of his. We are so pleased with the completed project that we have decided simply to take up residence ourselves. The movers literally arrive tomorrow!
