I have used Adam for three jobs now. Once, as President of an HOA, where an exterior wall needed replacement. One of the unit owners was a highly respected and demanding architect; Adam was the first contractor who satisfied him. We then used him for a bathroom remodel, which was an infinitely better experience in terms of budget overruns, fit and finish, service and timelines to our previous bathroom remodels. Having watched too many episodes of HGTV, we bought a fixer. Adam looked it over with us, and then proceeded to over deliver on expectations every step of the way. Adam is sort of like a combination of Nordstroms and Holmes of Holmes on Homes. Any problems that you, the customer, has, he will fix. And there will be no bogus shortcut code violation techniques, not ever. His subcontractors are premium, and he knows when and how to keep in touch both personally and online. His budgets are realistic, and change orders are transparent and timely. He provides design guidance, but listens carefully to owner design choices. Things always hit glitches, but I did not worry about them. They always got resolved. If you want a cheap contractor to do things without permits, look elsewhere. If you are looking for availability in a top of the line contractor, I would check Throne Builders out.
