Don is a general contractor who really is a consummate professional. From design assistance to permitting, scope of management, on site project management and coordination to follow through and follow-up, Don is the best. He has been the GC on a complete exterior and interior remodel in addition to a couple of smaller projects for us. The range of his knowledge and commitment and the professionalism he brings to every project is astounding, a level of competence seldom seen in Arizona. From the scope of Don's personal knowledge of every aspect of a job to working with city planners and permits, to vetting, hiring and overseeing subcontractors, Don has given us the very best construction experiences. Don is the best at what he does. Getting a license to build a pool does not come easy. Working with Don on building our dream backyard could not have been easier, and all the little things it takes to build it right the first time are why we feel lucky to have found him. These are the types of contractors that you pray stick around through tough times. Don showed up at the build site for every company he hired and watched over them like a hawk to make sure everything was to his liking, as if it were his own project. He set up a folding table in the blazing heat when they dug for the pool, installed rebar, plumbing, shotcrete, etc etc. Think about how many times you’ve hired subcontractors who don’t watch over the companies they hire to do the work, and then make excuses for why it’s not their fault. Not Don. He will have them redo anything that is not to his liking. When you use him, you don’t need that roll of painters tape to mark all the things that need to be fixed because he’s already done it for you. Pricing was fair and upfront without hidden fees, and he adjusted the fee schedule for us when we had delays or supply chain issues, which I can guarantee will happen no matter who you hire for your project. It’s just the world we live in now. The difference is, he will communicate with you and make adjustments as needed to get you to the finish line as soon as possible without losing quality craftsmanship. I will update this review in the future, as I’m sure this won’t be the only project he completes for us.

Don Torri is my new best friend! He is responsive, thorough and has the best team of subs! He has helped me in two crises recently in addition to a great piece of work last year (major remodel). I have never worked with a construction professional as good!

Torri Custom helped us take a bad situation and make it great! We had a complete patio and pool remodel a couple of years ago by a negligent contractor (now out of business). Essentially had to start over with Don Torri. Even though his specialty is new construction, he undertook the difficult task of taking out everything that was done wrong and rebuild it. The new finished product was better than we thought possible. The work was done in a very efficient, no nonsense way. He was upfront on project costs and change orders. His collection of artisans are all top notch and professional. Don is a little more expensive than others, but trust me, you get what you pay for in this business.
