Window World was founded in 1995 by Leon Whitworth. The office was a small roadside stand in Wilmington, NC. It didn’t look like much, but Leon had big plans for this company. He wasn’t going to be like everyone else in the home improvement business. He wasn’t going to do things like they had always been done. A slick salesman shows up at your house, gives a three hour presentation, starts his price at $1,000 or even $1,200 per window, creates bogus discounts, and tries to high pressure you into paying ridiculously high prices. The other end of the spectrum is the guy who has cheap prices along with an inferior product that won’t last very long. Leon knew to be successful he couldn’t do either of these things. He wanted to care about his customers by creating a business model focused on their needs. The Window World way would be simple: provide superior products, installed by professional craftsmen, with guaranteed low prices. In short, Window World provides simply the best for less. What more could anyone want? Window World partnered itself with the best window manufacturers in the world. They use state of the art equipment and only the best materials available. That small roadside stand has now grown to over 200 Window World offices in 45 states, and is still growing. We are now one of the largest home improvement companies in America.
