I highly recommend the American Gallery Homes Team!! Ken Colter is AMAZING to work with!! I was treated like family during the entire process of my whole home remodel (down to the studs) by him and the entire crew (Mike, Rhonda, Charley!!). Whenever a problem arose Ken immediately picked up his phone to call someone to resolve the issue. I had some VERY custom requests which were met with enthusiasm and a lot of support. Ken and his staff are 2nd to NONE on Sanibel, FL!!

We have built, not one, but two great homes with American Gallery Homes/K. Colter on Sanibel Island FL. After finishing the first home on E. Gulf Drive in Dec. 2014, we found we loved the Island, but simply wanted more space & to be on a canal. Well the choice was easy for next steps. As with the first home, Mr. Colter was instrumental in finding us just the right lot, and importantly, fitting the best quality home to that lot. Both homes are of high build quality, fit and finish are extraordinary. I might add that American Gallery uses the same trusted subcontractors on all its projects - that means the aforementioned high build quality and dependability stay consistent, as it was with both homes. Any call backs, even after the warranty time, are handled in a expeditious and thorough manner through American Gallery. Our experiences with the staff of American Gallery and Mr. Colter have been professional, sprinkled with a genuine Island friendliness. Draws for completed work on both homes were always taken after the contracted work was completed, inspected and agreed to on a timely basis. In sum, we found American Gallery Homes and Mr. Colter to be honest, trustworthy, dependable and reliable in all facets of the home building process... Highly Recommend.

Horrible experience with quality and contractual obligations never finished. Took 180 thousand dollars yet refused to finish the smallest details and decided to lien the house. I am In legal suit with this company esp Ken Colter the part owner Won’t honor his written obligations. Will never use again esp due to shoddy workmanship and lack of supervision on the job. Based on my experience this company and owner are not to be trusted.

Great workmanship, wonderful people, staff and associates. They deliver exactly what they promise and if there are any questions/problems, they work to resolve them in a timely fashion. Couldn't be happier with our home.

We are very happy with our new American Gallery Homes home on Sanibel! We used an architect for our custom home and Ken was involved from the beginning. He has great knowledge of home construction in general and Florida and Sanibel specifically. He worked with us and our designer, listening to our ideas, understanding what we wanted, accommodating our wishes and steering us around and away from problems. Thanks to Ken for lots of great “Florida” ideas that we wouldn’t have thought of. Once we had our design, Ken and his staff handled the Sanibel permitting process like pros. It was not nearly as difficult as we hear it can be. Ken and Mike both have great eyes for detail and throughout construction they spotted things that weren’t quite right or could be done better. They kept an eye of things and kept in close contact with us - even when we were out of town - to make sure they built and we got a great house. Ken is very particular about his sub-contractors - all were very good and some were exceptional. In the office, Rhonda and Charley took care of the business details - billing, special orders, change orders. They kept track of all of our interior selections, answered questions quickly and correctly and were helpful with things like colors, sinks and tile choices. We made some unusual requests such as lightning rods, solar tubes, double hung windows. Ken and his staff worked hard to find what we were looking for, made sure they were installed well and we are very happy with the results. Thank you Ken, Mike, Rhonda and Charley. It was a pleasure working with you all. We love our new home.

They built our home in 2006. We received great service from them. Their staff was easy to work with and made building our first home easy.
