“Tom Elliott's crew did a fantastic job on finishing our log home! They showed up as scheduled and went right to work. Each member of the crew went right to work on their specific job. Blasting, sanding and finish work were all completed in a little over 2 weeks. Oil base finish was applied in 2 separate coats with a day or so in between each coat. Generously applied and brushed in, it transformed our house into a work of art. Glossy shine and beautiful look! I only wish I had heard of Tom and his company earlier. It would have saved a lot of hassle with an inferior finisher and product. Now our home is shining beautiful and will be so for years to come. Many thanks to Tom and the boyz that were here doing the job. A very professional and hard working, knowledgeable crew. “Hachmann Custom Building built our home in Chafee County, Colorado. It is a very unique house, with many features and a style and structure that is not common in the area. I seriously doubt that there is another builder in central Colorado who could have successfully constructed this house, and certainly not with the degree of quality and precision that Stan and Abe achieved. They embrace and surmount technical challenges, rather than backing away from them. They do most of the work with their own permanent crew: foundation, structure and framing and finish carpentry, and these folks are very skilled. We used challenging materials: insulated concrete form construction all the way up for the external walls, and the house is square and plumb to 1/2 inch, as verified by later contractors who installed our window treatments and a residential elevator. The Hachmanns simply take far more care of the details than any other construction firms we have dealt with. They are committed to giving the customer what he wants. They are certainly prepared to offer advice on what works best, particularly on the kinds of details that a homeowner does not pay much attention to, but in the end they will build it the way you want it. There are other builders in the area who want to stick with a particular style or standard set of features. When you look at Hachmann's recent projects you will be struck by their versatility. Abe, who is taking over the business, is a degreed Engineer. I was quite pleased to have someone with those credentials supervising the construction of our house. They have continued to work with us to maintain the house. In summary, I can recommend Hachmann's Custom Building without reservation.”
