So happy that we've already teamed up with them again for our next project. They truly embody a team effort and mentality that strengthens the architect-contractor relationship. This project was new construction restrained by a dramatic site as the house sat at the edge of a bluff overlooking the lake. Our team fought for every inch of the footprint to provide a fully programmed house, and throughout the process, Blue Horse Building offered tactful suggestions that met our design aesthetic. “KC Custom Homes recently completed our dream home in Cordova on Canyon Lake. Our experience from initial contact with Ken Castro and his sons to visualizing our dreams with Rudy, the amazing home designer, were superior to all the custom home stories I had heard. The foundation was poured at the start of June and we moved in at the end of December. Our project manager - Jaime- worked from day 1 to stay on top of the build and ensure each step was done well. The entire process was a positive one and we believe much of that starts with the vision and work ethic of KC Custom Homes and those who work for this company. Were there some bumps- of course- but KC Custom Homes worked through each issue that surfaced. We are so pleased to be in our home and would welcome the chance to talk more about our experience. “Very good team, bathroom and kitchen renovations. Bathrooms were re-tiled and cabinetry replaced; kitchen was renovated, complete demo and rebuild. Installed stranded bamboo flooring, redid plumbing (toilets included). Recessed lighting installation. Workers are very clean and removed all trash daily during demolition; trustworthily crew; conscientious and reasonable. Workers are punctual, helpful and have a great attitude which makes the difference in every aspect of the job.”

“I worked with Matt Henke, one of the project managers on a fairly involved remodel for our lakehouse. Matt's focus on service and quality were fantastic. We were keep up-to-date on all the important phases of the project, and when something wasn't quite right, it got fixed promptly and effectively. We would highly recommend Matt and V+G to anyone.”

““I’ve had the pleasure of working with George and Gretchen on numerous new construction builds and larger remodels. As a flooring subcontractor for several builders, I can say that George and Gretchen’s attention to detail is impressive. They question everything to help insure that the quality and final results they deliver to their clients is Top Notch and what was promised. As with any construction related business, issues always arise, but the professional manner to which they address and handle those issues is also impressive and I’ve worked with a lot of builders. If you’d like to work with a smaller Custom Builder that will actually have time to work with you, instead of throwing you into que, or pawning you off on less qualified, less caring subordinates…Double R Builders could be a good choice for you.””

“I was able to personally walk through multiple Pura Vida projects throughout East and West Austin, TX that were in various stages completion. Charlotte walked me through all stages of the build process and really took the time to work with her clients on their design preferences while also providing suggestions when appropriate. Projects ranged from residential remodels to fully custom high-end homes. I especially appreciated the on-site cleanliness and cost breakdowns that were provided for completed work when billing customers. It's difficult to find a builder in Austin that isn't going to charge extreme prices, provide honest and reasonable cost breakdowns, and still provide up to date design and building products. A pleasure to work with, would recommend.”
