Jason helped us locate a lot, design our home and complete our project in the Summer of 2017. It was our first home build of any kind and he helped guide us through the process. The online building software system (CoConstruct) was useful for asking questions and tracking the timeline of the overall build. The building process is a stressful & time consuming process and Jason Thomas Homes was their for us. I have recommended Jason to clients (I am a local area Realtor) and will continue to do so.

We've worked with Jason on several real estate transactions during the past 15 years. Upon deciding to explore the possibility of building our own home, there was no question that we would work with Jason to consider our options. As first time home builders, Jason helped to calm our nerves, offered practical advice on the array of decisions, and generally reassured us along the way. He is extremely knowledgeable and hard working and always has our best interest in mind (I even recall a time or two when he gently talked us out of a potentially bad decision even though it could have been financially advantageous for himself). In the end, we're confident that we have a good quality home. We'd definitely choose to build with Jason again.

Jason builds beautiful, top-quality homes and was a wonderful person to work with. He has great character, and his goal was always to do the very best on every aspect of our home and to do it as well as if he were building it for himself. Our lot was completely covered with trees when we started, and Jason's vision helped us develop it into a gorgeous setting for our home. I would hire him as a builder again in a heartbeat.

Jason was great to work with. He had many wonderful ideas and really guided us through the home building process. He was always quick to respond with any questions and or concerns we had. We would like to thank Jason Kratochwill for our wonderful home. We worked with Jason from getting ready to sell our home to purchasing our lot and ultimately to designing and building our home. He was very patient as this was a multi-year process! We looked at lots and plans for a long time before we started. Again, years. He really dialed into our needs and that of the lot/location. Half way through the building process, our Dad unexpectedly passed away, keeping us from being as involved in our dream project as we’d hoped to be. Jason delivered a final product on time that exceeded our expectations. We love our house! It is very quiet, energy-efficient, and designed with a lot of creativity and functionality. We have recommended Jason to others as well and happy he was willing to work with us during our long, careful process. Building isn't always easy, and you must be open-minded, but it was definitely worth it.

We are on our 2nd house build with Jason! He helped us find a plan for our very rural lot and he designed our contemporary home. (Pictures coming soon!) All is progressing very well. Our experience with Jason has been great both times and we would certainly choose him for a 3rd home! Love it!

Jason was wonderful to work with and helped make our dream house a reality! We came to him with a drawing of our vision on graph paper, and he worked with us every step of the way to make it come true. He has incredible attention to architectural detail, which is one of the biggest compliments we receive about our home. We wanted someone who knew enough to give us choices about how to build our home, but would also provide guidance about the best way to move forward. I never once have questioned the stability or security of our home, and would build another home with him again in the future - that is if you could ever get me to move!

If you can tolerate a dismissive, non-committal, and poor communicator as the lead for your next build, then I think this builder will suit you. Top 5 complaints: 1. We were never consulted on our window style. End result, 25% of our windows didn't open reducing airflow. They were literally installed one day and when I inquired about why they didn't open, Jason told me "don't worry, you'll be happy." We have since upgraded 3 window units to ones that open for an additional $5000. 2. The night before we moved in there was water leaking thru our kitchen ceiling onto our kitchen island counter-top from the 2nd floor plumbing. 3. 1 month after moving in I was standing in front of my master bedroom windows during a rain storm, which were shut and locked, and rain was spraying thru them onto me as if the window was invisible. 4. Halfway thru our build, Jason left the company but did not bother to tell us this. 5. Jason said to me when I had a concern, "I thought we were friends." This review is not meant to be vindictive. We had a lot of disappointing events occur and the communication between client and builder was underwhelming and often times confrontational. Our home is beautiful and we receive many compliments on it, but it could have been so much better.

I have worked with Jason on several projects including an amazing home he built for my family in Middleton, WI. Jason is extremely creative and helped me from picking the perfect lot to the floor plan on up. I had many requests that he met and exceeded, including our screened in porch with an amazing wood burning fireplace. Jason had several fantastic ideas along the way that made for our perfect home! I would highly recommend!
