We are late providing this review, in part because it is difficult to put into words how pleased we are with LJBC and with the dream home they built for us! LJBC built our fairly large one-story home in about 6 months. By choosing LJBC we saved THOUSANDS in construction loan interest. By no means, however, did speed negatively impact the quality of the build. Rather, LJBC lays out a precise timeline for the entire build and their high-quality subcontractors are expected to follow the timeline. We never ONCE had trouble reaching any of our friends at LJBC. Their responsiveness is off the charts. In addition, it quickly became obvious that we didn’t need to be in the weeds on every single thing. The folks at LJBC wanted it “right” as much as we did. We would be remiss not to also mention The EJ Johnson Group’s help in selling our previous home and making necessary repairs/touchups to get it sold. Bottom line: 5 stars all the way around!!!!

EJ and his team were great to work with. First, they've got a great eye for design. EJ is introducing a more contemporary look and feel to Northwest Arkansas, one that differs from the Tuscan styled, earth-toned homes that you'll find in the majority of developments in the area. They pay attention to the details down to things like the placement of multiple light switches in rooms with multiple points of entry. While the homes he's built in our neighborhood have a similar design theme, he makes sure there's something unique about each of them. No cookie-cutter layouts here. His team is excellent to work with. They are patient, flexible, and responsive. We partnered together to create the perfect home. I've moved quite a bit for my career. This is my 12th place and my favorite by far!!!

Process was good but a little dated on how things were done. Finished 1 month ahead of schedule on a large house. Some money was wasted that could've been saved if someone would've assisted or been more detailed oriented. I'm still trying to get small things corrected but having a hard time. I did not like a few of the sub contractors they used and those bad contractors don't really care about the home owner because the builder is who pays them and gives them repeat business. For the amount of money that I paid, I expected things to be fixed in a prompt and professional manner. I hate leaving sub par reviews but I hope this will inspire someone to fix the things that need to be fixed.

We never built a home before so we were hesitant to go through the experience of building one. However, EJ explained the entire process and made sure to answer all of our questions which it made us feel safe with our decision of building one. EJ is a very professional individual, straight to the point, and you know exactly what you are getting. There are no surprises. His entire team of contractors understands Lance Johnson vision and the importance of taking care of the customer needs. They understood the importance of staying within budget and still was able to deliver a beautiful home. We have been in our house for a few months now, and we are still very happy. Lance and EJ are true professionals. They designed and built 4 town homes that we use as rental properties. They were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire project -- responsive to our questions and always available. Their team did a great job and finished exactly on the estimated date of completion and under budget. The town homes are beautiful inside and out, and the quality of construction first rate. We only had a couple of very minor repairs during the shake down period and nothing during the two years we've had them rented out. I would be more than happy to work with Lance and EJ again.

I am in the construction industry and do business with hundreds of builders in 18 different states. Of all the contractors I could have used, I hand-picked Lance and EJ to build our house because of their quality, structural knowledge and ability to stay within budget. We built a 5,000 sf house with many unusual upgrades and these guys did a tremendous job at coordinating with us and helping us to stay within our price point. I highly recommend them to friends and family all the time.

Lance and EJ built our house recently (we moved in December 2014) and we could not have been happier with the end result and the process. They were great to work with and finished 6 weeks ahead of schedule... which is unheard of! They are well respected in the NWA area which was evident in the professionalism and responsiveness of their subs. We built a custom home and had pretty strong opinions about what we wanted, but they offer a design service as well which is nice. We were impressed throughout the process at how professional EJ and Lance were to work with and their follow up since we have moved in has been great.
