Richard Harp and his team were a pleasure to work with. My husband and I wanted to be involved in every step of the process of building our forever home. Richard and JD both were open and available for our ideas. Also, with my husband being in finance he wanted to see everything on paper. Richard was willing to sit down with us and go over every number. When it was all said and done, we finished 7% over budget, but admittedly the overages were self-inflicted on our part due to add-ons and upgrades. To Richard’s credit, without his relentless diligence in seeking out competitive pricing for materials and labor, always keeping a wary eye out to not sacrifice quality with cost, that number would’ve been considerably higher! We would recommend Richard Harp to anyone!

Richard Harp Homes really came through for our family with a comprehensive remodeling of our home. The entire process, from planning to execution, went smoothly. When they uncovered a couple additional issues to be addressed in the remodel, the solutions were effective and reasonable. A great experience. We highly recommend their services.

Richard Harp built our custom home after we retired and decided to move back to Arkansas. He worked closely with our architect to turn our dream into reality, and was very successful in doing so. Richard was always a pleasure to deal with, and worked diligently to address the issues that inevitably arise when building a custom home. Without exception, all who visit our home always comment on the beauty, quality and workmanship. Choosing Richard as our custom home builder was one of the easiest and, in retrospect, one of the best decisions we’ve made.

Richard is extremely knowledgeable about every step of the build. The project was completed on time which was great! Richard is polite, professional, and trustworthy. Our home turned out just how we wanted. I would definitely recommend Richard.

Richard, Paul and the entire team finished our renovation on time and the finished work is excellent as always. We knew when we decided to renovate our 20 year old home (that Harp Homes built originally) that there was no one else to consider for the job. We really love our newly remodeled space!

For our first experience with building a home, we decided to use contractor Richard Harp and his project manager JD Yancey. We were initially impressed with their communication skills and advanced organization. We first created the floor plan, and Richard was incredibly instrumental in deciding the sizes of rooms, garages, patios, etc. Where Richard made suggestions to increase or decrease in size, we totally agree with now that the house is finished. His experience in creating a good floor plan cannot be overlooked. He then created a budget with 12 pages of line items. We had one typo in the budget and it drove him crazy- he is incredibly mindful of details! We had a strict budget, so Richard helped us to determine when and where to splurge. Not all things worked out exactly as we planned during the build process (for example, the price of lumber and concrete increased from the time we created a budget), but we were able to adjust and stay within budget. Richard and JD guided us through the process, making it more fun and easy than I ever expected. Most importantly, I know that we built a high quality home that we expect to be our forever home!

Building a new construction home with any builder will always present challenges. My husband and I just completed a new build with Richard. When friends and family ask us how the process went and if we liked our builder we say without hesitation that we are more than pleased with how everything turned out. There is no other contractor like Richard. His financial acumen, attention to detail, expertise and willingness to go to bat for his client are unparalleled. We have refereed him a few times to several close friends and will continue to do so because we believe he is the best that it is out there. His sub contractors are the best in the field and the end product you receive is a beautiful, well built and reliable home for you to enjoy for many years with your family.

Richard Harp of Harp Homes is a consummate professional. He always is prepared for questions in meetings with extensive industry experience and is prepared to offer multiple options to choose from in going forward with decision matters. His subcontractors are top of the line and maintains firm control on the job site without an overbearing demeanor. His attention to detail in procurement and billing is top notch and in many cases has offered alternative options to alleviate a situation that arose even when the choice may not always be in his financial best interest. I would highly recommend his construction services to anyone in the market for residential or small commercial construction contracting for both new and remodel applications.

He built our house in 2006 and did such a good job that we may never move. He pays attention to every detail and is a pleasure to work with.We even became great friends during the building process - and I think that is about as rare as it gets for a builder and home owner. If I could give him 6 out of 5 stars I would.
