I have worked with Ventana Construction on several projects over the years and recommend them highly. They are very organized, professional and do really quality work. We have worked together on both very small and very large projects and they show the same attention to detail in all their work.

Ventana did an amazing job on our down-to-the-studs remodel. On time, on budget, incredibly high quality. Excellent communication every step of the way.

Clarence and Anne Higuera, owners of Ventana Construction, are professionals of the highest quality. You can expect focused, expert attention to your project, its budget and the details of construction and finish work. They are outstanding listeners, expert problem solvers and the advice they give is based on their years of work in the field. They have the ability to guide their clients through construction challenges with care and concern for people, materials and a genuine desire to make their clients happy. They find ways to make accommodations in architectural plans that provide greater function and/or less expense than originally designed. There is always time to talk things over with care and concern with each client. Their workers carry the same work ethic and courtesy to your project each day. In the end, you will have a beautifully done project and two wonderful new friends!

Ventana Construction has just recently completed a kitchen remodel for us and we are thrilled with both the result and the process by which it was achieved. Everyone associated with them, employees and subcontractors alike, exhibited the highest standards of workmanship and professionalism. I recommend them without reservation for any project.
Our remodel included: complete dismantle and removal of the existing kitchen, new walls and ceiling, tile floor and backsplash, custom cabinets, quartz countertops, complete electrical and lighting upgrade, plumbing for new sink, refrigerator and gas range, vented range hood, removal of one window (including siding replacement), replacement of one window and floor insulation for the entire first floor (not just the kitchen). The whole thing was done in seven weeks with minimal disruption while we stayed in the house! And the cost was exactly what they said it would be so there were no surprises.
Everyone was super friendly and very respectful of our home and privacy. We're looking around for more projects they can work on for us!

I hired Ventana Construction for a remodel of the basement. The work included a new bathroom, laundry room, and utility room, and updating a staircase, office, and back door entrance. Everything in the remodel turned out beautifully! The quality of the construction was excellent.
Working with Ventana was a great experience. Anne and Clarence, the owners of Ventana, deeply care about their work and their clients. Anne is wonderful at communication and keeping the project moving. Clarence has a depth of experience in construction. Together, they make an excellent team.
I always felt I was in good hands throughout the project. The lead carpenter was on site every day to supervise any sub contractors such as the electrician and tile installer. Everything went according to schedule.
I highly recommend Ventana Construction! I am very happy that I choose them as the contractors for my remodel. I hope to work with them again when i update my upstairs bathroom.

I have worked with Anne and Clarence and the great team they have assembled on several projects that I have designed for my clients. Ventana brings a truly professional approach to each and every project no matter the size (from a bathroom remodel to a new house). Their vast knowledge of construction is evident from the very first meeting when I typically review early design ideas with them to get feedback on construct-ability issues and project budgets. Many times my clients will ask to work with a contractor that I've had good experience working with before, and Ventana is always part of that list. Constructing a project, whether it be a remodel or new home, can be a stressful experience (or a nightmare if you hire the wrong contractor!) Ventana knows this, and they make every effort to stay on top of issues including proactively keeping the entire team aware of any issues including those with cost implications. I would recommend Ventana for anyone who is considering constructing a new home or remodeling their existing home.

We hired Venatana Construction to do our master suite and home entry remodel. We could not have been happier not only with the craftsmanship, but also with the professionalism. From the planning stages of the project, we were confident with the input, honesty and integrity of Ventana. Every step of the way throughout the project, communication was exactly what we wanted. The work was stellar in every way. We highly recommend Ventana Construction.

This was our first remodel and we can't say enough about our positive experience with Ventana. We interviewed a number of individuals and companies but were beyond impressed with Ventana. They were professional and clear in every interaction we had and had many great ideas that we hadn't previously thought of. We remodeled our kitchen from the bare bones and updated our bathroom, all while maintaining the farmhouse feel of our home.
Office responses were timely and clear, not to mention incredibly detailed. Our home crew, headed by Arne, ran smoothly and with great communication. The carpentry work by Ramon was meticulous and turned out wonderfully. Everything blended well into our current structure and flows seamlessly.
We encountered a few hitches with our 100+ year old home, but were confident that everything was being handled with professionalism and dedication to our perspective and the integrity of our house.
We highly recommend Ventana and hope to work with them again in future for any other remodeling projects.

We hired Ventana earlier this year to remodel our basement and update a good portion of the electrical, plumbing and gas lines in our 1950s era house. We really enjoyed working with them because of their attention to detail, professionalism and of course build quality.
As we're considering adding a second story in the near term, Ventana was always factoring that into the work they were doing. I really felt like they were factoring in the "bigger picture" for our plans with the house beyond the remodel project they were working at the moment. This definitely created a level of trust and collaboration.
As for their work, it really is beautiful. As I mentioned they have great attention to detail and Anne has a nice eye for design which comes in handy when trying to make those last minute decisions on tiling colors, etc.

After checking references and talking with multiple contractors, I decided to work with Ventana to add a dining room to my house. This was my first major renovation, so I was somewhat nervous.
Anne & Clarence were great - providing enough clear information to get me through, helpful suggestions as I finalized the design and always keeping me aware of the next steps.
During construction, there were weekly meetings with progress and budget updates, clear invoicing and free & open communications. Arne & his crew were great despite the inconvenience of workers in the house. We were a team, working together toward a common goal. My questions were always welcome & answers were clear.
And then, there's the quality of the work, which is excellent! We came in on time & on budget, and I am very happy with the process and the results!

Full-on kitchen remodel. This included:
-demo/removal of existing cabinets, island, counter space.
-reconfiguration of cabinets, island, and granite countertops
-complete replacement of new appliances (in place)
-correction of some original issues left in place by builder
-refinishing existing wood floor
-installation of customized glass cabinet under island
Ventana undertook the complete job, working with our architect, and ourselves. We purchased the appliances, but they did the installation.
The jobsite was sealed in plastic curtains, which allowed us to temporarily move our kitchen function to the adjacent living room. The curtaining was tight and well-installed. They also installed a temporary door going into the hallway leading to the upstairs bedrooms, so as to allow us to keep our cats sequestered from the job site. A high powered air filter was installed to clear the air as much as possible from dust.
Their PM was on site each day, providing oversight to the trades onsite. He was excellent. He kept us posted on job progress each day, and what, if any issues were encountered. He kept thorough contact with the trades and suppliers on the job.
One of the owners would check progress on the work each week, and a weekly meeting was held to go over progress and decisions to be made. This was done in a businesslike and courteous manner. Our questions were answered promptly most times, and when they couldn't be, they expedited getting us information which helped us make decisions quickly and accurately.
When issues were uncovered in the existing construction, they were prompt to let us know the nature of them, and convene us so we could discuss the issue and any subsequent action. They left the decisions entirely up to us, but provided counsel on the ramifications of correcting, or not correcting, any issues. This led us to institute several change orders which lengthened the project slightly. We felt no pressure during this process.
Installation of the cabinets and appliances was overseen by Ventana, and accordingly, allowed them to take on the warranty for installation completely. Several slight modifications were custom-designed and fabricated (such as flashing around the stovetop, and a customized cowling for the ventilation fan) by Ventana, the end results of which we were most pleased with. When there were delays in the delivery of a couple of the lighting components, Ventana ensured that we knew why, and they retained contact with the electrician to ensure updates were available to us.
The estimate of time for the project was extended once (about half way through) based on some issues that were out of Ventana's control, like our decision to have them correct some issues once our walls and ceiling were open.
Ventana chose good trades to work on our project. All were exceptionally competent, courteous, and prompt. Only one vendor issue was encountered, (i.e. an issue with the granite countertop vendor), but Ventana handled it quickly, and in a most professional manner. Any issues dealing with the appliances and woodwork (we had a slight dent to the front stove cover, and a dimpled edge to one of the cabinet faces) was similarly handled, and in a manner that was most professional. Replacements were coordinated by Ventana quickly.
Billing was prompt, accurate, and regular. Any questions we had were answered promptly, and to our satisfaction. No issue was too small, no question was left unanswered.
The handover documentation and walkthrough was excellent and thorough. We did encounter some usage and familiarity issues after handover once we put the kitchen into full use. Ventana responded to our needs promptly on this, and ensured we understood our new kitchen's functionality a little better.
In our research, before we started our project, we'd heard that kitchen remodels can be a trial. Although the extent of the actual remodel work took four months, it was smooth sailing, thanks to Ventana. We are most pleased with our kitchen, and exceptionally pleased with Ventana as our contractor and partner. We would choose them again for any work we contemplate in our home without hesitation.

We've worked with Ventana 3 times, all insurance claims. The last project was fixing our 1940's garage and it just makes me so happy everyday when I walk outside and see my cute restored garage the way it was always meant to be. Ann and Clarence are incredible to work with, they explain everything and work with you to figure out the best plan of action and make sure that you are getting the best product and service for your money. They keep you informed and hire the BEST crews! I've never met such nice guys that really take pride in their work and do exactly what they say they're going to do and are true craftsman. I swear the next time I call Ventana it's going to be for a fun project not an insurance claim and it's will be even more of a pleasure to work with them! I consider them my contractor for life and would never call anyone else!
