A Change of Space

I’m Kathy Regini, owner of A Change Of Space. My formal education in Fine Arts taught me about color, proportion & balance. A decade in fashion merchandising creating in-store displays and window vignettes for high end boutiques & department stores, gave me a wealth of experience with props & staging. Taking what I learned, I decided to pursue interior design, and create distinctive interior environments. My own home in Boulder, Colorado was soon featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Years ago I decided to specialize in redesign because I could reach out to the greatest number of people. With traditional interior design, clients primarily achieve a new look by purchasing new furnishings, which can be cost prohibitive. Redesign creatively repositions most of the key pieces people already own and incorporates new design elements such as updated paint color, lighting, art and accessories. Most clients already own several good pieces, but need help pulling it all together. My redesign service delivers great design with minimal investment. I create spaces that reflect my clientsʼ personality & lifestyle. Itʼs not enough for a home to look beautiful: it has to work for all who live there… itʼs about understanding how spaces are to be used. I carefully consider all the items in a home, and I believe you should be surrounded by the things you love. I also help pare down the things that no longer work or do not enhance your life. Although I have created many luxurious spaces, I find most people prefer relaxed rooms with style, but simple in design. Nothing too serious, nothing too fussy. I want my clients to love coming home and spending time there. A well designed room feels cohesive and put together. It feels right. A place where you thrive and feel at peace with your surroundings. It gives me great pleasure to see the renewed enjoyment of a home.
