Alesha McCarty. Interior Designer

Design and creativity has been part of Alesha's life ever since she can remember. As a child in a small farming town, she spent much time watching design shows and reading magazines; craving the glamour and sophistication that they had achieved. She took that inspiration, and has excelled in art and creative writing classes, and became quite the trendsetter for friends and family. Alesha was constantly changing the furniture and scheme of her home, her mother always jokingly commenting to visitors that “my personal designer is at work again". In high school if, Alesha wasn't in class or at dance practice, you could always find her in the Family and Consumer Science building or Construction Management Workshop. Alesha has always enjoyed good design; however it was in high school, while working on Habitat for Humanity projects, that she realized how she could help people create a difference in their lives through design. The pure joy of a well designed home.. this is when Alesha knew she was going to be a designer. "Design isn't just about the furniture or paint. Good design is achieved when you focus on designing lifestyles by providing practical, aesthetic, and ethical design solutions which equally considers human health and well being and our surrounding natural environment." - that is the motto Alesha strives for. The few moments she spends not immersed in design, you'll find her doing yoga, running on trails, playing with her two adorable dogs, cooking something new and healthy, or simply enjoying time with her family; who are her core support team and furnish her much inspiration.
