Shoreline principal Bernhard Thuersam, CPBD, NCIDQ is nationally-certified as an interior designer AND building designer -- for 10 years apprenticed to 4 registered architects -- and holding both Associate and Bachelor degrees in Interior Design, as well as extensive graduate study in Interior Design at the University of Georgia. His Master's Thesis explored the interior design and modernist architecture of Brasilia, the 1956 planned capital city of Brazil. Mr. Thuersam has been in private design practice since 1989. His Certified Professional Building Designer (CPBD) appellation indicates that he has passed the rigorous two-day examination of the National Council for Building Design Certification (NCBDC); he has also passed the intensive two-day examination given by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification, (NCIDQ). His completed projects include golf clubhouses, restaurants, offices, spas and sports facilities, hair salons, nightclubs and custom/speculative residences, large and small. A specialty is feasibility studies of design projects to ascertain their cost, efficiency and construction viability. Mr. Thuersam's clients benefit from his 30+ years of experience with interior/exterior projects and interface with the structural and mechanical engineering aspects of projects -- initial feasibility and cost analysis studies are a specialty and save you time and money.
