Blackdoor is amazing! Tammie was referred to us by a good friend who also had a great experience working with her. She did an incredible job remodeling our home after an unexpected flood in 2021. Tammie is not only extremely professional, knowledgeable and reliable, but she is also an outstanding designer. Her work far exceeded our expectations! It's like we have a new home! As a general contractor, I have worked with Tammie on several projects, and have greatly appreciated her attention to detail and communication of our clients’ needs and desires for their home renovations. Tammie is a favorite of mine to collaborate with, and always approaches our projects with creativity specifically tailored to the homeowner's style. She is able to bring our clients’ vision to life, while adding innovative elements suited for each individual client. A strong working relationship must be maintained by a construction company and designer in order for the project to flow smoothly, stay on budget and stay within the timeline. Tammie always ensures we are on the same page by keeping open lines of communication with us, as well as the clients. I hope to work with Tammie for many years to come.

We've been working with Tammie over the past year to design and furnish our new house. She helped us with flooring, lighting, furniture, and artwork in our living rooms, dining room, and office. She was incredibly professional, courteous, and dependable. Her design choices were top notch and we are incredibly happy with her work. There were some challenges throughout the process, with the quality of the flooring subcontractors and delays in shipping our furniture, but she handled it to the best of her ability. When our custom dining room chairs were delayed by several months, she rented a temporary set for us, free of charge. When the flooring company screwed up on the installation, she held them accountable to honoring their warranty and got them to cover not only the replacement, but our Airbnb costs as well. It's a crazy world out there right now for furniture and renovations, and she's been a great project manager throughout the whole process, helping us navigate the chaos and uncertainty. While the experience was not without snags, her demeanor and professionalism more than made up for it.

I started a project with Tamra when I moved into my new home in November 2020. I loved her past designs. She was a pleasure to work with and always stayed true to her expertise when giving her opinions. I valued her honesty and knowing when to push on certain ideas because she knew it would look great when it all come together. Her motto is "Trust the Process" and once she got to know us and our likes and dislikes, it was easy to do. I was glad to know that she was very attentive to detail and would replace any furniture that was not absolutely perfect or would call her contractors to restore anything that needed to be improved without me having to point it out. I also appreciated her assistant, Alex, who was always readily available for questions as well. Alex was very organized and sent detailed weekly updates every Monday to discuss next steps. With Covid slowing down furniture deliveries by many delays, Alex was always there to give us updates and recommendations if we needed to change our selection if it was going to take way too long to receive an item. There was never a time when we felt out of the loop. She often came with Tamra to my house to help with any touch ups or measurements. The entire process was fun and organized. The results are just absolutely everything we wanted and more! Tamra even selected some decorative items that I didn't request for the finishing touches as an option to purchase to complete the look. I ended up buying everything! Fantastic job! She is easy to work with and will work with you to get the look you desire. I highly recommend Blackdoor Design!

I’m the painter on this project. I did all the interior painting including priming the entire house and painting the cabinets, doors, ceilings, and walls.

First, Blackdoor were nice professionals to work with....My townhome was a complete remodel. The carpet on stairs was the only thing that stayed. The previous owner installed prior to listing. The design plan was perfect. Everything flowed together. The new furnishings tied together in each space. I agreed with all there decisions. It went from a dated townhome to a beautiful updated home. I received a weekly email on whats happening and schedule of projects going on. Everything was on schedule and within budget.

Tamra has been great to work with in several projects. She is very creative in her design ideas for her clients, and has a professional work ethic.
